June 26, at Ohio State University

Thank you! Thank You! I appreciate the enthusiasm, but we have some sobering matters at hand. My fellow Buckeyes, we stand today, at a crossroad. The administration tells us we are amidst an economic recovery, yet prices rise, incomes stay stagnant, and working families struggle to meet ends. Meanwhile, the national debt is spiraling out of control, and no one in D.C is willing to make the sacrifices to slash our deficits. Washington as been unable to deliver on issues we should all be able to come together on. Among these are real tax reform, Keystone XL, rebuilding our infrastructure, overdue issues like immigration, trade or entitlement reform, and fully committing America to the urgent war against ISIS! Sadly, Barack Obama's failed moral leadership is leading our youth into a sea of moral relativism. Today's youth are taught to be increasingly accepting of sexual immorality, disregard for authority, abortion, godlessness, low standards of art, and there's virtual despair among many, who look for reasons other than the past  or blind patriotism to be proud of this once great nation. In short, as a result of our nation's moral decay, economy running on life support, and foreign crisis, I John Richard Kasich, am running for President of the United States!

The nation is looking for a proven leader, and the Republican Party must deliver one! I began my career as a long shot to be elected to congress but worked my way up to chairman of the House Budget Committee. As chairman, I played a key role in helping congress work with Bill Clinton to reduce the national debt for the only time in the past 36 years. As Governor of Ohio, I've cut 3 billion in taxes, balanced 5 consecutive budgets, taken on the public sector unions, and presided over lower recidivism rates along with the creation of over 300,000 jobs. The pundits said I was in deep water like our party is supposedly in against Hilary, yet my team and I delivered a resounding 30 point victory in November that was heard from coast to coast! As governor I worked with Republicans in the legislature to the curb the growth of Obamacare to among the lowest in the nation, and as president, you can kiss the individual mandate goodbye! I intend to stand by history as a strong fiscal conservative and vow to bring our debt through real reform of entitlements and a full audit of the Pentagon. My tax plan will reduce the burden across the board while reducing the rate on corporations by 17% to bring back jobs to the United States. As Republicans we must guard against the siren song of isolationism by remaining vigilant in all decisions. I will ask congress for a declaration on inaugural day! The goal will be victory, as soon as possible thanks to a military that takes it marching orders form The Commander in chief, not the UN! So let it be said, that America would once again be a shining beacon for the rest of the free world and not succumb to an era of darkness. As someone who met President Nixon and lifted himself out of poverty  following the tragedy of my parent's death, I felt part of the great American spirit. Yet tragically, much of our history after the disgrace of Watergate has been marked by cynicism about our leaders and gradual decline in the nation's standing in the world. But with your commitment to greatness and willingness to sacrifice, we can make a difference. God Bless America!

The two Democratic frontrunners, one a relic of the troubled past and the other a cranky voice for a socialistic future. Who could prevent such horror? Meet John Kasich, a thorn in the side of the Clintons since 1990s who's been leading the charge for conservative reform even longer.

I'm John Kasich and I approve this message./i]

July 1

Fundraiser in Cleveland, Ohio.

Townhall in Dayton, Ohio.

Seek Endorsement from John Boehner.
" I understand your struggles since I've worked with you and had to lead a caucus that was often afraid to compromise in the 90s.  With me in the White House we can't mend those problems".

Meet and greet in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Speech on criminal justice reform at Cincinnati University, Ohio.

Excerpt:

One of the most pressing moral issues in this country is the fact that the United States has 25% of the world's prison
prison population despite having only 5% of the world's population. A large part of this is caused by moral decay
and personal instability but another big part is that some people are being arrested unfairly and many more are
staying too long, especially in our inner cities. We've been able to reduce Ohio's incarceration rate by decriminalizing
minor drug offenses and expanding rehab treatments that have led to less criminals coming back and I pledge to
do the same as president
!

July 2nd

Town Hall in Hillsborough, New Hampshire

Town Hall in Concord, New Hampshire

Seek endorsement of Bob Smith

" Listen Bob, I have a record of being a practical conservative like you who also doesn't stand for government
waste and inefficiency. The party can thrive in New Hampshire with people who have visions like ours".

Speech on the budget in Concord, New Hampshire.

Excerpt:

Thank You! The spirit of the revolution was released right here to the world along with it's values of Liberty and no taxation without representation live in my campaign. I am the only candidate running who has led a successful charge to balance the budget as a congressman and executive. I've been able to do so by setting priorities from day 1 in D.C and Ohio. Just recently I've been able to dig Ohio out of a two billion dollar hole by slowing the growth of our welfare state, prisons, and pensions with the help of a Republican legislature. Ohio now has an eight billion dollar surplus thanks to leadership I tend to bring to Washington!

July 3rd

Appearance on Fox and Friends

Fundraiser in Brooklyn, NY

Barnstorming in Long Island, NY

Meeting with George Pataki . (Discuss successful records, nuanced policy positions, Chris Christie's failures, and  wishes for strong leadership in hopes of endorsement)

July 4th

Barnstorming in Columbia, South Carolina

Veterans Rally in Columbia, South Carolina

Our Veterans have paid the ultimate sacrifice and deserve to be repaid with a more effective VA and commitment to human rights. Sadly we saw this administration concede egregious violations in human rights to negotiate with leaders from Iran and Cuba. John Kasich will not toss aside the freedoms our soldiers fight for when making deals!

Meet and Greet in Charleston, South Carolina

Meeting with Tim Scott. (Discuss Kasich's record and success with black outreach by winning 1/4 of the African American vote in 2014)

July 5th.

Interview with the Des Moines Register.

Call to Laura Ingram radio show.

Town Hall in Iowa City, Iowa

July 6th.

Speech on Immigration in Anaheim, California.

Excerpt:

Illegal Immigration is a serious problem in this country. There are quite a few people who want to abuse the system and are as violent as any other citizen already here. However we must remember that most of these people are God-fearing, moral human beings who want to be here. Many of them come from far worst situations than in Mexico too. For those who are law-abiding taxpayers their should be a path to citizenship. We also need to make immigrating to this country easier and be vigilant of illegal activity happening in places other than the Mexican border to reduce the amount of illegal immigration.

Fundraiser in San Diego, California

Interview with the Los Angeles Times

Appearance on the O'Reilly factor.

July 7th.

Meet and Greet in Reno, Nevada.

Meeting with Brian Sandoval for endorsement. (Discuss what it means to a GOP member, offer him spot on Justice Department or as Attorney General)

Rally in Las Vegas, Nevada.

No no NO JOHN! Screw going to Iowa, I don't need that state to become a frontrunner and were already down 7 to a freaking 1 term governor! Bob Elrich has even less name recognition than I do. I have a plan to make it up now that people are dropping out left and right. Bob Elrich will be even less relevant than Lincoln Chafee.

July 8th

Town Hall in Nashua New, Hampshire.

Q: What type of Supreme Court justices will you appoint?

A: I will appoint qualified justices who respect states rights and have always used constitutional basis to overturn previous decisions. My philosophy isn't strict constructionist, but I definitely believe in judicial restraint. I've been disappointed at extremists of my party who've called for abolishing the system or putting judges up to election.

Q: What's your tax plan?

A: In a perfect world we'd be able to reduce taxes to around the same rate when Ronald Reagan left office and cut the Corporate tax rate by 17%. However, the number one priority under my administration will be balancing the federal budget and I may have to compromise to do so.

Fundraiser in Nashua, New Hampshire.

Dinner and Speech with the Hillsborough County GOP.

Phone Call with Robert Bentley. "Mr. Bentley, I like your brand of compassionate conservatism and would gladly  accept your endorsement. My experience on the Armed Service and House service committee will serve us well.

July 9th.

Meet and Greet in Bedford.

Barnstorming in Bedford

Meeting with John H. Sununu. "Come on man. I know you want to join your brother so the family's in this together."

Rally with John E. Sununu in Hudson, New Hampshire.

"Thank you fellow New Englanders! I'm working with John Kasich thanks to his successful record in congress and as Governor. No one in this race worked on the downfall of the Soviet Union and an era of Small government in the 90s! He's a true blood Reagan conservative and the man we need for the Whitehouse!

July 9th.

Meeting with Pat Toomey.

Meeting with Joe Pitts. "Joe, I'm proud of more pro-life record and would definitely appoint justices who will overturn Roe v. Wade"

Speech at Philadelphia Urban League.

Speech addressing Medicaid expansion in Pittsburgh. "I stand by what I said,  Saint Peter won't ask me what I've done to keep government small but how I've helped the poor.  Any man who would deny millions of citizens access to healthcare to have taxes just a little smaller or a slightly larger surplus has no place at V.P or health related in a Kasich administration".

July 10th.

Barnstorming in D.C

Meeting with Rob Portman.

Meeting with Thad Cochran. "Working with each other balancing the budget in the Late 90s showed the strength of bi-partisanship. Let's lift everyone like you did in Mississippi!"

Appearance on Meet The Press.

Q: How can you explain your position on Medicaid as a fiscal conservative?

A: There's absolutely no drawback in bringing millions of Buckeyes into the health insurance pool while maintaining large surplus and having a slow expansion rate of Medicaid.

July 11th

Meeting with Rick Snyder.

Anti-Plannned Parenthood Rally.

Barnstorming in Oakland County.

Meet and Greet in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

July 12th

Event at UNH Republican Students meeting.

Town hall at Concord New Hampshire.

Meeting with Scott Brown.

July 13th

Town Hall in Derry, New Hampshire.

Barnstorming with Sununu in Derry.

GOP lunch in Salem.

Rally in Salem. " To many Americans having and R in your name is a Scarlett Letter. But I will assure you now American will be left behind! I had a winning coalition in Ohio that included blacks and working poor that can form a new image! God Bless America!

Radio Ad in Iowa.

I'm not ashamed to admit I'm a Christian. But you don't need to be in the pews every Sunday to know there's something wrong with America when the person I'm parodying was indicted and when members of my own party call me a heretic for wanting to help poor Ohians. I understand you Iowans are god-fearing citizens who want a man from the heartland like me. I'm John Kasich, and I approve this message.

Ad Airing in IA, NH, FL, MI, NV, SC, MO, Al, and AR.

John Kasich,

Born poor in western Pennsylvania,

witnessed his Parent's death in car crash,

Congressman against all odds,

Cold War Experience,

architect of the first balanced budget in almost 30 years,

Governor of one of the best run states in America.

The Man we need in the White House.

January 3rd
Debate with Noam Chomsky on socialism at Dartmouth university.
Noam, while your right that capitalism gives those who disregard the citizenry unwanted power, socialism
gives absolute to the very few at a level that just hasn’t happened. Even in the Gilded Age, an era of moral depravity
when some of the wealthiest paid citizens monopolized whole industry, no one could monopolize the whole economy
like your inevitably forced to do in a socialist society.

Meet and greet in Manover, New Hampshire
Phone call with Cory Gardner. “Compassionate conservatism is the way for this party to grow”.

Dinner with Grafton County GOP

January 4th.
Speech on Student Loans in Sioux City, Iowa

Meet and Greet with Iowa State University Republicans

Meeting with Chuck Grassley. “You know who has the right experience.

Rally in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Meeting with Joni Ernst.

January 5th
Town Hall in Des Moines, Iowa
Q: You’ve made some statements indicating we should just accept the high court’s ruling on gay marriage.
Do you stand by that?
A: Not quite. I wish I could get congress to pass an amendment prohibiting states from re-defining marriage but
there’s not enough public support for that.

Rally in Des Moines, Iowa

Meeting with Drake University GOP.

AD AIRING NATIONWIDE!

Ted Cruz thinks he's man to lead our party, but can we trust someone who expresses sentiments like this?

The very first political contribution I ever made was to Jesse Helms. We 100 more like Jesse Helms in the senate.!

You mean, this Jesse Helms?

(Real Jesse Helms quotes)
"White people, wake up before it is too late. Do you want Negroes working beside you, your wife and your daughters, in your mills and factories? Frank Graham favors mingling of the races."   "The government should spend less money on people with AIDS because they got sick as a result of deliberate, disgusting, revolting conduct." "UNC is the University of Negroes and communists!" "The [Washington] Post caters to homosexual groups. Just about every person down there is homosexual or lesbian."  "Watch me make her cry. I'm going to make her cry. I'm going to sing 'Dixie' until she cries." - Said to US Sen. Orrin Hatch about Sen. Carol Moseley-Braun, an African-American.

Ted Cruz's Ideal Republican Senator. Any Questions?

July- August

John Kasich continued his main campaign strategy of meeting the national press, putting a plurality of the eggs from his basket into New Hampshire while stressing his experience and success. However, with the sudden exit of Jeb Bush and Marco Rubio he saw a new opportunity arise in Florida. Kasich knew South Carolina was a long shot for him, plus he had the advantage of marketing his foreign policy experience to the influential Jewish and establishment Republican donors. John set up campaign headquarters in Miami, Palm Peach, Orlando, and Tampa Bay in attempt to fortify his standings.

September-October

With New Hampshire looking to be a dogfight Kasich started to shift more resources to Iowa knowing how crucial a good performance would be to beating Elrich. John compensated by planning to put 25 million dollars in TV ads into New Hampshire and another 5 million each into Florida and Nevada over the next 5 months, using the establishment donors who were previously backing Bush and Rubio. He also tried to woo social conservatives who would be  further injecting religious language into speeches while going further to the right than planned on drugs, guns, and abortion. Kasich knew he had an opening with voters should be key to many southern and Midwestern primaries. The campaign also recognized they'd need a broader coalition thanks too Elrich's strong performance with Moderate and establishment voters.

November-December

While Kasich took a break for Thanksgiving and Christmas weeks on the campaign trail, he continued to mash the airwaves by appearing on Fox News 7 times during that time, despite only 2 of them being in studio. John stressed how much these Holidays meant to him with their themes of sacrifice along with policy. Kasich also received a surprising amount of media attention by appearing in the stands and on the sideline for Ohio State Football's victories against Michigan State and Michigan respectively. John Kasich also amped up by scheduling over 40 appearances in New Hampshire during these months to match Elrich. However, he still had some sneak attacks planned for the next few weeks ...

During This Time John Kasich seeked the following endorsements.

Eric Cantor.

Chris Sununu (Don't betray your family).

Susan Collins.

Paul Lepage. (Do you want a pro-abortion beltwayer like Elrich?)

Judd Gregg (Try to earn persuasion by bringing Sununus to the meeting)

Tim Pawlenty.

George Allen.

David Jolly.
