TIL People acting smug and assuming to know more than they actually do about the lives of minorities (something conservatives NEVER do) is more racist than trying to delegitimatize a black president, insisting that we need to preserve “white culture” in America, preventing people from certain countries from even entering the country, separating families and putting children in cages, marching with torches in favor of white nationalism, and trying to build a wall which will serve no purpose other than to make people feel safe from the scary Mexicans.

I mean, sure, you could point to a few individual liberals who are racist or say cringeworthy things, but to argue that liberals, on the whole, are the most racist? Yeah, that belongs in this thread.

I despise Sanders because he represents and empowers a wing of the party that is not unlike Trump's base at all. Casually racist, misogynist, opposed to all identity politics unless its the White Working ClassTM.

Biden has it locked up. The nomination, I mean. He'll lose the general election.

Low effort concern trolling is low effort.

With Biden as the nominee this can be the result: I do believe in the wave:

This might be the worst map, I've seen in this site. Try to make sense of it.

LMAO

What's Cornyn's reason for tweeting this 🤔
Maybe trying to raise awareness about the fact that the hispanics are coming in massive hordes, trying to replace the people (Anglo-Americans) that made Texas into what it is. Before you scream racist, I want you to just look at California, they let too many illegals in, and because of this, Anglos have lost dominance, essentially turning into a liberal cesspool. By the time Wilson got elected, it was already too late.

But I know better than to call this post r*cist, because that would be an "offensive personal attack", and would make me one of those "SJWs", since everyone living outside the liberal ivory tower bubble knows racism is dead (expect against white Christian men.)

Either way, has this thread been named after this totally not r*cist poster before?

Trump will have a better shot at having a fast food induced heart attack than losing even if there is a recession.  His presidency defies all logic and I could explain to you why he will prevail in some in-depth analytical reasoning, but that would spoil the final result.  Just sit back and watch what happens Smiley

Oregon is a blue state which shows no signs of trending Republican and would still vote Democratic in a Republican tsunami (sorry, OSR, uniform swing isn't a thing.) It doesn't matter if the Republican is a Strong Candidate™ or a "Reasonable Moderate", the current incarnation of the Republican Party isn't winning Oregon.

It’s literally showing every sign of trending republican. Just because it’s “safe D” (it’s likely D atm in my book), doesn’t mean it’s not trending republican.

Trended R in 2016.
Trended R by 5 points in the 2018 house elections.

You should definitely trust the esteemed electability experts here on Atlas who assert with bravado that Warren is unelectable. She would totally 100% lose to Trump, so vote for her.

Click for poll results.

Yes, because one thread where mostly Democrats have voted accurately sums up all discussions of electability on Atlas. Roll Eyes

Read my post again.

The point is if her vote total is that low it doesn't matter if "mostly Democrats" have voted.

One poll doesn't mean that the narratives about Warren don't exist and have never existed.

I've tried to have patience with said poster, but this is just...

Maybe it's because WV is poor, and Seattle/San Francisco are rich?

Insulting WV is like insulting the South Side of Chicago.

Insulting Seattle is like insulting the rich Republican 1%.

I have been vilely calumniated and betrayed.

Is anyone else sick of this thread? It's basically nothing more than a dumping ground for people to empty-quote posts they disagree with instead of engaging with the person directly.

I mean, that's basically what 80% or more of the posts here have been for years now. And then another 5-10% are people responding to posts they like with "the simple truths thread is that way."

All I'm saying is that anyone who wants Trump gone needs to back whoever the Democratic nominee will be.

A lot of us on the "left" agree with you here. I hate to be Mr. "Both Sides", but there are certainly moderates who only want party unity as long as Biden is the nominee, but are happy to let Trump have four more years if Sanders or Warren is the nominee. Sanders himself said that he'll back the eventual nominee, as he's done in every recent election, but Manchin claimed that he would not support Sanders if he won the nomination. It gets annoying when it seems like we're always the only ones who need to "compromise", and yet there are plenty of moderates who also have a "my way or the highway" attitude.

Now, to your credit, you haven't done that, to my knowledge. I believe you've said that you would support Sanders or Warren over Trump despite your differences with them, and your support for Biden seems primarily about how much you like him. That's fine, and it's good that you don't take every opportunity to dunk on Sanders or Warren like some posters. I just hope that you understand that many of us on the left do compromise quite a bit, we have for a while, and we just want those who support Biden to be willing to do some compromising of their own if a candidate further from the center wins the nomination.

Funny how posters like President Johnson, and Fuzzy Bear get so much flack from this forum when they are one of the least partisan posters on here

While I wouldn’t call President Johnson a hack, the idea that moderates can’t be hacks in their own way is absurd, and, in and of itself, a very hackish thing to say.

I realize this is like shooting fish in a barrel, but...

It actually is. While IA has a commission for relatively fair maps, a trifecta can ignore their requests and draw their own gerrymander. By taking an IA state chamber, we can secure the commission's ability to provide a fair map.

“Fair map” =Democratic gerrymander

Next up, elections being fair means that they were rigged by the Democrats.

Hopefully these riots make more voters in MN realise the importance of having politicians who recognise the importance of maintaining law and order, Trump should be able to capitalise on these riots and the more riots happen the better it will be for him electorally, he likely does understand how to use these riots to help him politically I would say, it would be a good way for him to turn away the focus from the virus.

It's terrible to politicize this as a Republican vs. Democrat issue, but this post isn't objectively wrong. Independents and swing voters are watching these riots. It wasn't Trump supporters who stormed into that Target and looted it, that's for sure.

And please don't respond to this post with some "teh Nazis stormed the capital building." People are allowed to carry guns. You can bring a gun into the state capital of Florida and all you need is a concealed carry license. I've seen plenty of civilians with guns there. I went there almost daily for like nine freaking months.

White guys carrying guns isn't some form of a beer hall putsch.

The terrible part of this post is the fact that it’s politicizing the riots and suggesting that turning attention away from COVID-19 is a good thing.
