If Ducey is smart he won't nominate McSally. That'll be a smack in the face to voters, but then again, so is appointing someone for 2 years that the people have no say in so...

who else could he appoint besides her and Kimberly Yee

AZ GOP bench is absolutely garbage. And the voters didn't say no to Mcsally but more yes for Sinema.

Garbage bench? LMAO. I will remind Atlas that AZ is still a pink state, McSally just ran as a 2004 neocon and wasted all the opportunities afforded her to attack Sinema.

In what universe is this a savvy political move on Ducey’s part? The voters literally just rejected McSally.

McSally is going to fulfill Arizona Democrats' dream of having both senate seat.

Word on the street is Ducey told McSally she needed a better operation in 2 years. Also keep in mind Sinema won due to 12% Republican support (she was the only Dem to win Maricopa) in a Democratic year thanks to having so long to paint herself as a centrist, and I don't think anybody can replicate that formula to the extent she did, the extent that just barely let her win.

Wasn’t former Sen. Kyl appointed for this seat ? What happened ?

Kyl was never planning on holding the seat until the special.

So why did he agree to the appointment if he’s only serving a few months ?

He was literally just a warm body to vote for Kavanaugh...also he probably would've agreed to stay the remainder of the 2 years if McSally had won, let's be real. He had that worked out with Ducey before he was announced in all likelihood, and that's why he was ambiguous about his intentions during his acceptance speech/press conference thing.

Sinema, who ran as an Blue Dog moderate and listed Joe Manchin as her political hero, won by 2.4 in a democratic +8.5 year. People think Gallego, a radical progressive without as much charisma, can win in a Presidential year that has 0 chance of being as liberal as 2018 nationally??? (even if a Dem wins the presidency, its unlikely that translates down ballet to a nine point national popular vote in congress). Peak Atlas. Lean McSally.

Sheesh, you narrowly win one Senate race under absolutely perfect conditions and suddenly you have a Solid D state.
