Gabbard is a strange specimen, the a scion of the sort of oddball dynasty that could only really exist in Hawaiian politics. She has a few glaring issues: almost certainly the candidate with the most baggage, unless Cuomo runs for some stupid reason; she is very insincere and choreographed in her motives (not really something you could accuse Sanders of being) and she is probably the most likely to end up going down Park Geun-Hye style.

And yes, the concern trolling to Fox about Obama being soft on terror, suggesting there is no non-theological cause at all behind Islamist terror, attacking seemingly benign House Resolutions against communalist violence in India, the RSS links - I would be wary, is all.

Needless to say if she were to be nominated I would fly to America and actively campaign for President Trump's re-election on the grounds that Trump is merely influenced by the far-right while Gabbard is of the far-right.

How in the heck is Gabbard "of the far-right?"

She's just more isolationist when it comes to foreign policy. That hardly makes her "of the far right."

Well she does seem to channel Shiv Sena when convenient.

... SS moved on from straight Marathi supremacy in the 80's. They're just saffron nationalists nowadays. Maybe RSS would have been a better comparison now that I think about it more - their activists are known to love her...

Tulsi seems to follow the alt right perspective that the current War On Terror is entirely due to theological disagreement. Any nuance or attempts to explain differences through economic reasoning is an attack on OMG COMMON SENSE!!!!

Democrats will ravage Trump for being close to Putin for the next four years. How can they do that and then nominate someone close to Putin?

hopefully Democrats don't spend the next four years attacking Putin, I want them to win.
