There's been a lot of talk about Cuomo on this site, what are the indications that he might run?
I think almost any big state governor is automatically considered a potential contender in an open nomination.
No, it's more than that. Cuomo hasn't spent much time on the traditional legwork of wannabe presidents. E.g., he doesn't do much of anything in the way of early primary state visits (though he was in the early caucus state of Nevada recently). But there are legit reasons to think that Cuomo is interested in a presidential run.
First, he dodges when he's asked about it, e.g.:
https://uselectionatlas.org/FORUM/index.php?topic=273224.msg5921876#msg5921876And while I do think it's still a bit early to scrutinize denials that carefully, it's also true that folks who dodge are probably more likely to run than those who give flat denials. "But doesn't everyone dodge rather than give a flat denial?" Not really. Tim Kaine, for example, has given a flat denial.
And then the other thing is that we keep occasionally getting people in his inner circle leaking to the press that he's thinking about it. E.g., both of these Politico stories from last year suggest that he's open to running:

There were stories in 2014 in which Cuomo's inner circle leaked the fact that he wanted to run for president in 2016, but knew there was no way for him to beat Hillary Clinton for the nomination, so such a run would be fruitless.
