Hanabusa is more electable and deserves the seat by the edict of Inouye, so HP.

Precisely.

Of course Schatz could win... and again... and again he would win.

It's really about the person in Dem primary.

What?

What I'm saying is that whoever is elected in Hawaii (who is a Democrat) will probably win re-election.

How is Hanabusa conservative, socially? She's Pro-Choice, Pro-Gay Marriage, uh.... Pro-Gun Control....

I support Hanabusa (and Mercado Kim) so he's HP to me.

I still can't believe that anyone supports Mercado Kim.

Why? Because she's anti-SSM (and I'm sure she will "evolve" on that)?

Sidenote: Any time I see "SSM" I think it's S&M and that some Senator or whatever has been outed as being kind of kinky.

Yeah... same here.

If a person had represented your state, federally, since it became a state; would you take his endorsement of who to succeed him lightly?

The only reason why Schatz was appointed was because he was Abercrombie's right hand man.

Okay... they can be non-existent, when it comes to challenging him; still means she can run (and win).

FF

Nearly every Hanabusa supporter on this forum appears to be at least somewhat stupid.

Because she's closer to our ideology therefore we must be somewhat stupid?

Makes sense.

The endorsement of a senile old man would not sway my vote toward a senile old woman, no. But I guess I am unique inthat regard.

To each his own. Smiley

Perhaps, but that doesn't draw away from the point that a Democrat will not lose in Hawaii. Or at least will not lose in a normally scheduled election.

Precisely!

And no, you can't point to the 2010 Special Election to the First District. Djou only won because Hanabusa and Case split the vote.

If we want to talk about electability, Schatz won a state wide election, while Hanabusa has not, and Hanabusa won by only nine points in a D+18 district.

To be fair, her opponent, Charles Djou was a very liberal Republican.

Yikes. I missed all this, but I'm obviously pulling for Hanabusa.

Probably for the better, on both counts.
