I’m truly not trying to be rude to some of you, but it strains credulity to believe that a president with a -10 approval is going to see his party win the midterms by 8 points, one of the largest midterm victories in American history.

It’s insanity to believe it, and ZERO 2021 results suggest it. Zero.

You guys are all among the smartest election geeks online, and you truly believe that yougov gcb poll? Jeez

Some bad news for Biden in the recent polling

His standing with educated white voters is starting to crack

He’s underwater with them by 6 in the fox poll, and in other polls it’s about even.

If he drops with them, that eliminates won 2022 dem advantage

What should worry Biden is not that his approvals are in the low 40s, but that the disapproval numbers are crossing the 50% threshold

the dems won 40 house seats in a 2018 economy that was just fine.

the stubbornness with some of you is astounding. Presidents with 41% approval ratings don't turn around a year later and see their party do well in off year elections.

This is deja vu 2018 in reverse. I and many other repubs kept on telling myself that 2018 would be just fine. things would improve with the polls, etc.

it didn't happen.

Something to watch out for

An interesting thing happened to Trump at the start of 2018. His awful 37% ratings creeped up to 43-44% and stayed there basically until 2021. It was the most stationary rating in history

Will the same happen to Joe? Will his ratings creep up a bit in 22 and then stay the same forever?

I feel genuinely bad for some of you still holding out hope that 2022 won’t be a GOp win

Why set yourself up for disappointment

It’s like a fan of an nfl team in a superbowl waking up the day of the game and thinking “hey we are going to win this thing baby”
