Minnesota is just kind of muddling around.  I think this election year was a good indication of where we are: moderate, slightly Dem leaning.

If anything, it's trending Democratic. Kerry won by a larger margin than Gore did, Klobuchar won by a larger margin than Dayton did, and Pawlenty won by a smaller margin than he did last time. The last two can of course be at least partially if not mostly attributed to the overall Democratic tide of 2006, but Kerry did better than Gore in Minnesota despite doing worse nationally.

That's because of a fading Nader rather than any swing towards the Democrats.
