" Thank you ! Thank you ! This has been an amazing journey..... I have gone across this great nation and met people of all political stripes..... It has been an honor to carry your hopes and dreams. Last Night, I received Word that my Mother passed away..... she has been a strong influence in my life. Because of that, I have withdrawn from the race. Senator Gillibrand will take on the world, her leadership proves that you can put progressive ideas into action..... I endorse her, because she can sew this nation back together. Thank you ! "

(I am going to go ahead and publish my weekly schedule since I have to work on a Metaphysics paper tomorrow. I'll find time to add my debate answers in too, of course.)

Governor Bill Haslam's Round 4 Schedule:

Jan. 10th (South Carolina):

- Barnstorm in Myrtle Beach.
- Barnstorm in Rock Hill.
- Barnstorm in Columbia's suburbs.
- Military and Veteran Townhall in Charleston.

Townhall theme: This will be an active military and veterans townhall meeting where Governor Haslam will ask about the concerns of military members, both active and retired. He will answer questions accordingly. He will end the rally with a reminder that the military is a critical issue for him, as is the issue of how veterans are treated.

Jan. 11th (Iowa):

- Meet with voters in Cedar Falls.
- Meet with voters in Cedar Rapids.
- Meet with voters in Des Moines.
- Foreign Policy Rally with Tom Cotton in Ames.

Rally theme: Governor Haslam with his friend and endorsement Senator Tom Cotton will discuss foreign policy in Ames. He will speak negatively on Obama's current handling of ISIS and Iran. He will be especially negative of the Iran deal, as he has been during the campaign. Finally, he will offer a solution to the chaos in Iraq.

Excerpt: "Look, our current policy in regards to Iraq has been absolutely horrid. What we should have done to begin with was separate the nation as a means to ensure persecuted groups not only their safety, but self-determination as well. The eastern region would be given to the Shia, who were persecuted by the under Saddam Hussein. The Sunnis would be given Anbar. Most importantly, the Kurds deserve their own homeland. For too long, the Arabs have tormented and slaughtered the Kurdish people, merely for being different. Kurdistan's independence should have been recognized when we were in Iraq, and it's a mistake under both of our previous administrations that they were not granted their independence. A President Haslam will be a strong ally for the Kurds."

January 11th (Colorado):

- Meet with voters in Denver.
- Barnstorm in Boulder.
- Barnstorm in Pueblo.
- Meet with voters in Grand Junction.

January 12th (New Hampshire):

- Barnstorm in Concord.
- Meet with voters in Manchester.
- Barnstorm in Exeter.

January 13th (South Carolina):

- Barnstorm in Greenville.
- Meet and greet with voters with Governor Nikki Haley in Columbia.
- Barnstorm in Rock Hill.
- Barnstorm in Myrtle Beach.
- Meet with voters in Mt. Pleasant.

January 14th (Georgia):

- Meet with voters in Marietta.
- Meet with voters in Gainesville.
- Meet with voters in Cumming.
- Rally with Governor Nathan Deal, Senator David Perdue, and Fmr. Governor Zell Miller.

Excerpt: "Yesterday, Senator Cruz insinuated that I do not respect the 2nd Amendment. I must inform him that he is incorrect. I've been an excellent defender of the right to bare arms, and such is self-evident! Back in April of 2015, I signed a bill that gave Tennessee citizens the freedom to carry their handguns in more areas. If I was not pro-gun, why would I have signed a bill that defended the right to concealed carry? I've also been an NRA member during my entire time as Governor, and I still am. Speaking of which, Wayne LaPierre recently endorsed me! Do you not trust the former head of the NRA himself, Senator Cruz? I understand his concerns that we need to defend the 2nd Amendment, but it is outright wrong to call me anti-gun. Everyone here knows that I have a genuine pro-2nd Amendment record, and Cruz knows deep-down that he is blowing hot air!"

January 15th (Nevada):

- Meet with voters in Nye County.
- Meet with voters in Caliente.
- Barnstorm in Las Vegas.
- Barnstorm in Primm.
- Meet with voters in Goodsprings (and order some Sunset Sarsaparilla while there. Seriously, they defictionalized it.)

January 16th (Alabama):

- Organize in Montgomery.
- Meet with voters in Montgomery.
- Organize in Birmingham.
- Hold Pro-Police Townhall in Birmingham.

Townhall Theme: This will be a small but issue-oriented townhall similar to the military and veterans one in South Carolina on the 10th. Haslam will discuss and be quizzed on issues facing the police. He will make it a main point to reiterate his support for the police, claiming that they keep our streets safe and their concerns need to be addressed.
Round 4 Schedule ! Locke's first Selfie ! He's deathly afraid of Selfies...

1/10.... California Tour !
Locke arrived in Sacramento California for his California Tour... Sarah made up the name... He met with Mayor Kevin Johnson to seek his endorsement and had a talk and tour with FireFighters fighting the Brutal California Fires ... and finally.. his first Selfie....A Girl of Age 14 asked him.... He just had to....

1/11 : Locke the next day, headed on down to the Bay Area. First He headed to Google where he talked with Google Employees on the Importance of Technology in Today's Society.... Next, A Visit to Public Schools where he read stories and once again stressed the importance of Technology. And Finally It was Chinese New Year... Year of the Monkey.... And so.. Happy New Year.

1/12 : He made a stop to the Central Valley.... where he met with Farmers and actually worked in the fields for a while alongside with the farmers. Then He headed on down to Los Angeles where he spoke at a We Day Convention... We Day is a part of Free the Children and it talks about Changing the World.

1/13 : His Final Stop of His California Tour was to the Border in San Diego... where he met with the Illegal Immigrants on the other side.... you know what I mean. He accompanied by American Catholic Bishops, consoled and gave Illegals Hope.

Locke then departed for Manchester New Hampshire.....

1/14 : Locke started off the day with a Rally at a Local Manchester High School.. accompanied by One Direction... who kind of endorsed him....  He then held a discussion with Richard Dawkins on God in Society today.

1/15 : Locke visited a High School Art Class.. where then he spoke on promoting the Arts in Education. He then along with his daughter took a trip to Starbucks... Yes.... Starbucks. He then ended with a Townhill meeting.. someone called him a Socialist.... He's how he responded....

" Socialism forces everyone to be the same.... I don't want that... I want everyone to be unique and successful... That's the difference.. "
Locke with his daughter at StarBucks.

1/16 : Locke ended the week with a super rally.... people from New Hampshire and From all Over the Country...  I am too lazy to tell you the numbers.

Locke at the end of the rally had a very special guest, his daughter suggested it... Jay Z..... Despite the Campaign Team's warnings about having Jay Z... It was Okay....

Ad for Gary Locke, released in New Hampshire and Iowa.

" Reagan and Tip O Neill were two very different people. One was a Conservative Icon while another was a Liberal's best friend. But they knew that the nation was more important than petty politics. They were rivals but worked together.... As President, I will get Washington working again... by reminding Congress that we are all in this together.

BREAKING NEWS: BUDDY ROEMER LEAVES GOP RACE, EXPLORING REFORM PARTY BID

"Today, i had to make a tough decision. We've been watching the polls closely here at HQ and it appears that we're not only behind just about every other GOP contender, and their big special interest money makes it hard for me to catch up. This corrupt primary system relies too much on money for my tastes, so I'm dropping out of the GOP race and will give some time to test the waters for a Reform Party bid for the presidency. Citizens United has made it impossible for a candidate unbeholden to PACS and Wall Street to win. It's quite clear that what Ross Perot emphasized nearly 25 years ago still applies. We need to shrink bureaucracy and cut spending while protecting poor Americans and tackling trade imbalance. The Obama years have failed us, but I'm afraid the Cruz, Ehlrich, Kasich, Locke, or Gore years will fail us too. I'll still gladly participate in the healthcare forum, because at the end of the day, I'm here for the American taxpayer, not my own political gain. As I continue my exploratory efforts, I'll be releasing statements analyzing the remaining candidates' plans. I ask that my endorsers stick with me until I make a final decision on the Reform Party run."

Locke has not accepted money from Super Pacs or Special Interests because he has none..... He's been relying on Individual Donors..... and his daughter's piggy bank..... So Locke is somewhat pissed at Roehmer for associating Locke with the Special Interests. That being said, Locke's Health Care Plan is to improve Obamacare by adding a Public Option. And make the Employee Mandate Optional and to give Businesses tax credits for purchasing insurance.
Gary Locke..... has proposed a debate between Haslam and Cruz..... because Locke is frankly tired of the arguments..... but..... he will not be biased...

Governor Haslam would be open to such a debate.

Okay ! Now we wait for Cruz.... if a debate is held, the debate will be held in Woodcreek High School.... Roseville California.....
Cruz accepts.

This Debate will be attended by Kids..... and will be hosted by Rowan Blanchard of Disney Channel. So be ready to explain your positions to kids.....

Question 1 Response:

I support the Second Amendment. This is a critical issue, and it is a timeless one. The Second Amendment protects us from bodily harm and from government tyranny. Without the Second Amendment, we would not have the means to defend the rest of our rights. Since the Second Amendment protects the rest of our constitutional rights, it is vital to ensure that we are not deprived of them. I will be a pro-Second Amendment President, because I want to defend your freedoms.

" Thank you........ it is now Senator Cruz's turn. And you can sit down Governor Haslam.... there's a chair for you. "

January 10, 2016

Meet Voters in Turberville, South Carolina

Meet Voters at Hardin Claredon County Library, Manning, South Carolina (With John Spratt)

Film Segment for use on ESPN U's broadcast on January 16 (South Carolina vs Missouri), from Hemingway High School, Hemingway, South Carolina

So do you believe pay-for-play is the way to go for athletes?

Absolutely, and Northwestern's loss at the NRLB is positively disgraceful in my regard. A student-athlete today is an athlete first, and a student second, but the reality is the rest of the country doesn't see it that way.

Who wins the SEC Tournament, in your opinion?

Kentucky for the men, Tennessee for the women.

January 11, 2016

Fundraiser at Jump Crazy Moonwalks Shelby, Shelby, North Carolina ($110 per person, children under 7 are free).

Meet Voters, Bennett Classical Auto Museum, Forest City, North Carolina

Meet Voters Rutherford County Library, Spindale, North Carolina

Visit McDowell County YMCA, Marion, North Carolina

January 12, 13, 14 2016

Attending to neglected duties as Senator. (Manhattan office on the 12th, D.C on the 13th and 14th )

January 15, 2016

Meet Voters in Spring Hill, Iowa

Meet Voters in St. Mary's, Iowa (With Tom Harkin)

Visit Junction Creamery, Osceola, Iowa

Meet Voters at Clarke Community High School, Osceola, Iowa (With Patty Judge and Chet Culver)

Endorsement requests

Oprah Winfrey (D-MS)

Nancy Kassebaum (R-KS)

Byron Dorgan (D-ND)

Tim Johnson (D-SD)

Tom Daschle (D-SD)

Chuck Hagel (R-NE)

Anthony Foxx (D-NC)

Rahm Emanuel (D-IL)

Marc Morial (D-LA)

Mary Landrieu (D-LA)

Barbara Boxer (D-CA)

We're having a mini debate........ and what does Gillibrand think of Locke ?
Question 1: Response

Well, the second amendment promises all of us the right to protect ourselves from the bad guys by allowing us to keep guns. As President, I will work to ensure that all of us have this right granted to us, and I will do nothing to prevent Americans the ability to protect themselves.

" Thank you Senator Cruz....... There will be 6 more questions.... I am going to give it to you and Governor Haslam now.....

1. 1 in 4 teenage girls are diagnosed with some type of eating disorder... as President, what will you do to help...... you know what I mean.....

2. In one episode of Girl Meets World, Autism is heavily discussed. How would you promote the awareness of Autism as President ?

3. How will you stop Cyberbullying while respecting the First Amendment, more specifically Freedom of Speech ?

4. 15 million American Children do not have access to food...... 21 percent of Children live in Poverty.... as President, what will you do to stop this problem ?

5. What is your position on Common Core ? And what solutions do you have to fix our education system ?

6. President Kennedy once challenged us to do something..... for this country and for the world. How can we.... the next generation of Americans, change the world ? What are you going to do to take on the world ? "

Round 5: January 17-30

Hello,

As you all should know by now, I will be taking over as the manager for this interactive timeline, with darth now managing the Cruz Campaign.

This game has gotten a little stagnant, so a couple thinks will be happening to speed things up.

1. Round 5 will last for two weeks. We need to speed this up a little bit, hence my decision to do this. This means that Round 6 will include the Iowa caucus.
2. I know this might seem unfair to some, but all endorsements are completely off the table right now. In the next round, please include a list of 20 individuals you would like to endorse your campaign. Not a lot of thought was put into endorsements before, and I think a lot of them either didn't make sense or should have never happened (Example: Grassley isn't going to endorse, so don't bother).
3. At the bottom of each round's post, there will be a debate question. Instead of having one, long debate, each round will now have a one-question debate at the end, and the results of that debate will be posted in the next update. You are allowed to interact with each other and respond to attacks.
4. In terms of how I grade things, quality over quantity. Make your posts look nice. Interactions with other candidates will get you bonuses - this will get boring quick if everyone sticks to their schedules and stay positive.
5. If you are interesting in rejoining or joining if you haven't yet, please do! You'll be at a little bit of a disadvantage, but I am letting new folks join this round!

Let me know if you have any questions. Now, onto polling...

Polls:

Nationwide GOP Primary:

Ted Cruz - 22%
Bob Ehrlich - 16%
Bill Haslam - 16%
John Kasich - 10%

Nationwide Democratic Primary:

Joe Biden - 22%
Gary Locke - 19%
Elizabeth Warren - 18%
Bill Gates - 15%

Iowa GOP Primary:

Terry Branstad - 25%
Ted Cruz - 21%
Scott Walker - 3%
Bill Haslam - 10%
Bob Ehrlich - 9%
John Kasich - 5%
Buddy Roemer - 5%
Rand Paul - 4%

Iowa Democratic Primary:

Kirsten Gillibrand - 28%
Joe Biden - 23%
Elizabeth Warren - 18%
Gary Locke - 17%
Bill Gates - 11%

Debate Question:
Name a figure outside of politics who you would consider nominating to your Cabinet. What would you nominate them for and why?

Answer to Debate Question :

" Look, This might be virtually impossible and unlawful... but Malala Yousafi for Secretary of Education. She has been a great advocate for Girls education.... "

The Endorsements I want will come in the next post.

You must be logged in to read this quote.
To answer the question, Mr. [Scarborough?], I would like diversity in my cabinet. Someone like Ross Perot, Jr., as Secretary of Commerce or Chairman of the Federal Reserve, would provide to my administration a mixture of ideas and experience. I believe nominating experienced people is the good thing to do, but the most important thing is that we nominate the right people.

For some unknown reason, Locke is  going all in on New Hampshire. Hepburn, Locke's manager was like.... " We are changing gears again ! "

Janurary 17th : All in on New Hampshire.
Locke started off the day with a massive GOTV operation.... He along with supporters went to houses in Manchester, and basically spread the word. He was talking with people in their houses, about him and his policies. Next, he stopped by his Office in Manchester, where he met with Volunteers and thanked them for their work.

Janurary 18th : The Next day, he held a rally in at another random Manchester High School, his speech focused on improving Educational Standards, and empowering Children. After that, it was off to Concord New Hampshire where he gave a speech to the legislature on Religious Freedom, and finally a meet and greet with potential Voters at a local library.

Janurary 19th : This Day focused on small farmers around New Hampshire, and New Hampshire's natural resources. So Locke on his bus, went around New Hampshire... meeting with small farmers, and touring with Environmental Officials on New Hampshire's environment.

1/20/15 : Locke apparently switched gears again and in the morning headed to West Virginia. His First Stop ? A Coal Mine where he met with Miners and dicussed Clean Coal Policies and providing affordable college education when Coal Runs out. Then he met with the Governor.

1/21/2015 : Locke then flew to South Carolina.... his first stop was Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church, Charleston South Carolina where he spoke eloquently on Race, and how to prevent racist shootings from ever happening again. Then He met with Factory Workers at a local factory.

1/22/2015 : In his first major speech to supporters in South Carolina, he indirectly criticized his fellow candidates, Senator Gillibrand and Vice President Joe Biden, and Senator Warren.

" My Friends, Career Politicians say that they will fight for you. But who can get things done ? Senators and Congressman, they give great speeches but when it comes down to it, only I have the leadership to get things done for not only do you have democrats, but you have Repubilcans. "

1/23/15 : Locke departed for Selma AL.... where accompanied by local black leaders, and Oprah Winferey walked the path of the protesters in 1965. Later in a speech in Selma, Locke called for Unity... and for understanding.

1/24/15 : Locke for the 24th, took a complete break.... he was so wiped out.

I will post the schedule for the 25th through the 31st tomorrow if that is okay.

OOC: I also request the extension

IC:

"I would like to make something very clear to Former Ambassador Locke: Do not strike me as a snake does at oxen's heels, or we will about-face and trample you. Mr. Locke served under President Obama, and I considered him to be a good friend, and a Democrat who liked me. Now, he turns to Republican talking points and criticizes my experience by calling me a "career politician". He was not speaking about the one-and-two-term Senators or Bill Gates wih this comment.

"Do not criticize me again for my experience. Focus on your very good résumé rather than destroying your friends. Fool me once, shame on me. Fool me twice, shame on you. You have had your chance. Do not try again, or we will bury you. Let me be very clear about that."

- Joe Biden, stumping in South Carolina

" There are some things I would like to point out. One, Perhaps I did not clarify enough. I did not mention about Vice President Biden at all!  Or the others. Here's the thing.  The reason why I was talking about that was because..... I proposed Term Limits.... Did anyone hear about that?  It must have been a newspaper error. The reason why I believe in Term Limits is because if we have the same people in Congress, Ideas run out. Corruption infiltrates good people. Special Interests take grip. And I thought that was a Progressive idea. 2, I am a Progressive in the tradition of Jackson, Jefferson and Roosevelt because I believe that we the people should have the power not Big Business.  3, If we keep on stabbing each other in the chest, Ted Cruz will win. Finally, The Vice President mentions friends a lot. There is a difference between having best friends,  and working together to take on the world. Take a look at Reagan and Tip O Niell. This is not personal, this is about this great country we all love. "

1/25/15 : Locke started off the day in Columbia South Carolina with a interview with Fox News where he adressed Vice President Biden's accusations.

Bill Hemmer : " Governor Locke, Vice President Biden has said that you have offended him as a friend with your speech last week in Charleston. What do you say about that ? "

Gary Locke : " I did not offend the Vice President or the others competing for the Democratic Nomination...... what has happened was the Media only took part of my speech. What I said after that was there should be Term Limits so that we can have new fresh leadership. Now What I recommend to every canidate is to read the transcripts of the speeches that I posted online. And read it throughly. "

After that, He held a rally at a Local Columbia High School, with some very special guests.

" Thank you One Direction for showing us that there is only one direction for America to go and that is forward ! Thank you ! "

1/26/2015 : The entire day focused on GOTV...... Locke and some of his supporters along with his familiy criscrossed Columbia, knocking on doors, passing out flyers, explaining Locke's positions on issues. Basically..... going out there and.... yeah.

1/27/15 : Continuing on his tour of South Carolina, he made stops at Local stores.... carefully planned by Hepburn in order to be normal........ Hepburn calls it controlled Normalcy. Afterwards, he made a stop at a Mostly White, Southern Baptist Church where he spoke on his positions on Social Issues.

1/28/15 : Locke left in the morning for Liberty University to speak to the mostly Conservative Crowd..... Fox News called it very brave. He recieved mostly positive responses from listerners..... though they still disagree. Then he flew again to New York City, to tour the 9/11 memorial and to meet with Local Harlem students.

1/29/2015 : In a freak accident of some kind..... Hepburn's fault..... Locke was nearly ran over by his own Bus...... in New York City, being rushed to the hospital, he's fine.

1/30/2015 : He flew to Philedelphia to speak in front of Independence Hall. Then he spoke at the Global Citizen Festival in Chicago....

1/31/2015 : He's taking a break again......
