At this point, I believe a special election for a new Governor and Lt Governor would be an optimal solution.

What are the special election laws in VA? Is there recalls allowed in VA as well?

No special election for Gov and there shouldn't be with the one term limit. LG seems to be the only office that requires a special election when vacant, the legislature appoints the AG when it becomes vacant.

This women could be the next LG, she's apart of his cabinet and inner circle and hasn't thrown him under the bus publicly.

It's not a good look to impeach the black guy while the two white guys who did racial acts stay in office, especially if he hasn't been charged with a crime at this point. I know this is a pressure tactic but it may not go down well with the black community.

Will the House of Delegates and State Senate continue to work with Northam on legislation?

Yes and in not so good ways. He just caved on a bunch of policy items probably in part because VA Dems have abandoned him. They need to come back to the fold or he's just going to be dealing with Rs.

I still feel like we should get a serious investigation. We know once Fairfax resigns that won't happen, these women should give their testimonies under oath and provide any evidence that they have. I just have a feeling we won't hear from either two the moment Fairfax is gone, but with what they are accusing they should be pursuing criminal charges.

Looks like Dems overreacted with Northam.

I now think Fairfax is in a better position than before, we've seen voters aren't really into the MeToo lynch mobs as the media thinks they are. Most Americans still believe in due process and the concept of innocent until proven guilty.

Am I right in suggesting that the Democrats in Virginia haven't thought this whole thing through?

It looks very bad and its not going to play well with the black community, especially having a white guy leading the charge. Better to push for a formal investigation by the state police.

This is why we need an investigation! She has also accused another man of raping her.

So someone got offended by a history lesson? All she literally did was hand out a bunch of cotton to students and one of them was black, nobody was singled out. I'm so tired of these social media outrage mobs who feel the need to be offended by everything.
