Supporting barbed wire barriers makes you a sociopath? Barbed wire is a very standard part of border barriers around the world, including some points of the northern border. It's also used in mundane civilian applications such as airports and industrial facilities. The point is to discourage people from climbing over the barrier, something which is much needed when you have a situation where people have strong incentives to cross the border illegally.
