Bushie wants a puppy regardless of whether its anyone else's. I'm sure I would too if I was living his life.

If seems like they live in the middle of nowhere, so an abandoned puppy actually seems plausible.

Migraines can be caused by a variety of factors. I think there is still a debate as to whether it is generic or not. I am sure lifestyle, health risks, diet also have a lot to do with it. Those I know that get them usually have some trigger, some type of food, etc, that causes flareups worse than others.

But yeah, if you get headaches that are only solved by caffeine, that's withdrawal, my friend, not this idea that caffeine is sedative for you. It's a stimulant - chemically, it doesn't just become a sedative for certain people, like saying cocaine becomes a sedative for certain people.

It definitely doesn't cause my headaches.  My big triggers are chocolate, really sweet taste in my mouth (I usually get small french fries with my ice cream so I can counter the sweet taste), pressure on the head, and high barometric pressure.  There are more, but those are the biggest triggers.

Yeah, chocolate does it to the people I know who get migraines too. And red wine.

We already know your family has serious health problems and does little to actually fix them, so it wouldn't be too far fetched to assume that is a pattern and thus why many of you get these horrible headaches.

And while fries and ice cream are really good, Jesus man, that's awful for you, and I am sure you eat that far too often.

And we don't know what causes your headaches, sure, but if caffeine alleviates them as you claim, sometimes they may be the culprite. That is classic withdrawal you are describing whether you believe me or not Wink

Why can't JJ live inside? It's way too hot for that poor little puppy to sit out in the heat. He could die!

The thing is adorable, I am just afraid Bushie is keeping it for all the wrong reasons. It's a life we're talking about here.

Jesus man, do you have no self control whatsoever? You eat more burgers than anyone I've ever seen! I haven't had a burger in forever. And your trigger for migraines is sweet stuff, yet you're constantly eating sweets! It's mind boggling!

Also, why is JJ not allowed in your house?

The sweet stuff is mitigated by salty stuff, like french fries.  As far as the burger goes.  I was thinking about a Grilled Chicken Breast Sandwich and then Mom and Dad both piped up and said "Get what you want here and diet at home."  That wasn't a wise saying on their part, but having no self control, I heeded their "advice".

We have a cat in the house who is very territorial and would not approve of JJ being in the house.  She probably wouldn't stand a chance against JJ, as she is 15 years and declawed and he is 6-7 weeks and clawed, but still if we had both of them in the house there would be hell to pay.  Nobody would get any sleep.  The cat, Molly, already doesn't like JJ being on the front porch because it draw Momma's attention away from her.  Molly does not like to share the lime light.

And knowing this, you still allow them to make important life decisions for you? They take their morbidly obese son to dinner and encourage him to order a bacon cheeseburger? And a vanilla malt? I don't even.... it's almost like they're trying to kill you.

That is an interesting plot twist. Bushie's parents know good and well he certainly isn't dieting at home either.

there seems to be some co-dependent issues going on in the bushie household.

i believe him when he says his parents wanted him to move back.  and his dad went out of his way to give him his own room and fridge!

maybe somewhere deep inside they dont want him to be too successful and fly the coop, so to speak?

there could be many reasons for this.  maybe they are unhappy and bushie is the glue that keeps them together?

This has been my thought for sometime. I mean, they don't even sleep in the same bedroom and apparently haven't for a long time. That tells me all I need to know about how happy their marriage is. That and the fact that Bushie and his mom have secrets his dad doesn't know about. They definitely want him living there because they're horrified about living together alone.

He's definitely morbidly obese.

I don't think he cares though. His entire post above is just the same thing he's said for years now, and he continues to go just the opposite. Words mean nothing to me, as I have said, and I doubt he will ever change, which is too bad, because I like Bushie and I don't want him to die.

Maybe it's time for Bushie to start one of those fad diets. Isn't there one where you're supposed to eat tons of red meat? He'd love that.

Atkins? I think you can eat all the fat and crap you want on Atkins as long as you don't eat any carbs, which would never work because Bushie loves bread.

I met a fat guy once who was on atkins years ago at a bar, and he was eating a ribeye with cheese, onions and bacon on top, but he explained to me he was going to lose weight because he was having a salad instead of potatoes with it.

Dude, your clothes don't weight 10 pounds! Tongue

Your scale at home is defective or your just not telling us the truth. I do doubt you've lost 8 pounds given your current diet and lack of exercise.

Okay, it's pretty clear that Bushie's "weight" loss is simply another fib. It's just normal weight fluctuation between 275 and 265 methinks, nothing more, nothing less. If he weighed in at 277 at the doctors, he isn't down 11 pounds like he claimed. My shoes, clothes, phone, etc, don't weigh 12 pounds, and if he has 12 pounds of crap inside him, he needs to seek a doctor. Tongue

Further, whenever they weigh me at the doctors, they make me take off my shoes. Yours doesn't?

I've just never heard of anyone losing 8 pounds by taking off their clothes and taking a dump. You must have some huge intestines.

How has your diet changed since you started "dieting" since your parents seem to think you're on one? Nothing you are doing screams "diet" to me. Of course, what do I know?

So 2 sandwiches and multiple helping of enchilada casserole was better than usual? I guess I just don't know anyone who eats 4-5 helpings of something unless they're really trying to stuff their face Tongue

1 sandwich is definitely less than normal.  It would leave me hungry again within the hour.  2 sandwiches are not that much, especially when each sandwich is only about 310 calories altogether.

The enchilada casserole was only 2 moderate size helpings.  Each helping was about a 1.5 x 3" block.  There was still quite a bit of casserole left when we started cleaning up.  Dinner was only 1,100 calories because I also had a regular coke with it.  So, the casserole itself was roughly 950-1000 calories.

I just had an ice cream drumstick for a snack, so altogether I ended up the day with about 2,050 calories.  That is below my goal of 2,200 calories.

Lol. Lets just drop the diet. Bushie isn't going to ever lose that much weight eating stuff like that. I maintain he'll never drop below 250.

I've definitely heard of enchilada casserole. It's normally what King described, but I imagine their variant has no beans and onions and only has meat, tortillas, cheese and sauce. I couldn't imagine Bushie eating chile, beans and onions. Tongue

It has all those ingredients, except Dad's half as onions, mine and Mom's half does not.  And no, it does not have ranch or breadcrumbs, it is exactly how King described it.

And the household rivalry of Bushie and mama versus dad continues. This time, the writers illustrate the divide by using the enchilada casserole the family eats for dinner. What next?

I love how Bushie takes credit for something when we've been telling him all along like that caffeine is a stimulant and not a sedative.

Yeah, it's cruel to leave it outside during the summer months, unless there's a place he can go to get out of the sun, like a shed or something of that nature.

Once again, this is Bushie acting as a child, treating a living creature as some play toy he can use and discard once he's tired of it.

At any rate, I do hope the dog is okay and has a place to go. I love dogs.

I saw your post, Bushie. My only qualm is that you're "looking at" getting the pup pup a house, just like you've "looked at" losing weight for 3 years now. It's hot, you're unemployed and doing nothing but napping and eating all day, so go get the poor thing a house now. It's the middle of June in Oklahoma and that poor little puppy is sitting in the heat all day while his owner does nothing. Come on, man!
