I don't get the insistence that a wedding must be an orgy of conspicuous consumption. I doubt very much these people have any money. Nothing wrong with living within your means. They got a friend to officiate at their little church and theu'll spend the evening downtown.  Sounds simple but nice. I wish them well.

It's fine, but don't fault us for enjoying weddings the way we like to enjoy them. I, for one, have never been to a wedding where it was not a wild orgy. But I'm a Greek and I realize my lifestyle is far different than a lot of people here.

Italian weddings tend to be the same way. And why not? I've been to some relatively inexpensive - but very wild - weddings, and each of them was a great time. Occasions such as these ought to be enjoyed.

Yeah, definitely. It's a celebration of two lives becoming one. Why not enjoy yourselves? And allow your guests who you invited to share that moment enjoy themselves too? Of course, even Greek funerals are celebrations, so again, others may not understand my culture.... Tongue

Inks, read my last post in this thread.  11 lbs is not water weight.

How do you think you lost the weight?

He probably is eating less than normal if he's telling us the truth - but last time he "lost weight" he came out and admitted he was just making it up. He definitely isn't eating any healthier though.

No one is arguing against that kind of eating. He just never eats leafy vegetables. All of his red meat is accompanied with a bun, fries, cheese, or something else. And he doesn't eat fish unless it's fish sticks, which are fried and frozen.

But he is losing weight, he's just no healthier.

Weight doesn't come and go that sporadically. You've lost some weight, but a lot of it is water retention and loss. You don't just gain and lose multiple pounds per day. Tongue

prediction:  this whole cad thing gets thrown out the window when bushie returns from kenya.  he will hatch some new scheme to return to 'his country' to be with 'his babies.'

might be best.  i dont think his heart is in this cad endeavor.

I'm thinking the same thing. We know how he said he was an African and had children to care for "back home" when he came home the first time. He's sort of tapered that insane rhetoric, but I imagine it will come back in full force in a few weeks.

Oh, for sure. No doubt this CAD thing is just a whim, and he will forget it all when he gets home.

Your patents have hardly been grounded in reality. They encouraged you to leave ONG for that scam. If you mix in god with your arguments, they'll be wetter than that bridesmaid was on Saturday night.

I don't have high hopes for the CAD program plot arc ever taking off.

Have you ever tried to return to your roots and cook some native american meals like your indian ancestors? Some corn? Live in teepee out in the woods?

Bushie doesn't eat Chinese. Lesbianest, his diet consists of hamburgers, soda, mexican, dessert, and eggs and bacon. Literally, he's eaten that nonstop since we started drilling him like a cheap date on his diet. No way he eats Chinese.

He will NOT strain himself to lose weight. He much prefers to be comfortable, and if it means he will not lose weight being comfortable, so be it!

Shoney's are still around? I remember seeing them off of the highway when I drove back and forth from college and home a few years ago. I've never been, but I imagine they're like most chains.

When you grow up knowing nothing else, I imagine you are used to food like that.

Wait, how did it fall off a building? Were you driving under it? Or did it just blow it off and the rock floated in mid air to your car? I'm liking the rock throwing theory. Maybe Bushie was playing at a playground with some kids and the teens started making fun of him and throwing rocks. Fearing for his life, Bushie ran to his car and got in but one of the punks threw a rock and hit his windshield.

Sounds plausible to me.

What did you eat that was so bad for you the past few days? I thought you told us all you had yesterday was like 1 meal and a few snacks?

Also, it's tough to get things by us. I am, of course, a budding mob lawyer to be, and I can see right through illogical explanations. Wink

It was that one meal that did me in and the snacks were a little more than what they should have been.  The snacks were enough to be considered a small meal.  I still stayed right around 2300 calories, so it wasn't an exorbatant amount, but the scale has been teasing me.  The problem stemmed from Sunday.  I had a lot to eat at the birthday party and a cheeseburger at the restaurant, likely flying well past 2,500 calories.  That was the key day.  Monday, it was soft tacos for dinner, but I had 5 soft tacos.  Tuesday, it was bacon and eggs for breakfast and 3 cups of taco salad for dinner.  Today, all I've had was a Subway Sandwich like I had a week or so ago, but with a regular Coke.  I've had about 1,000 calories today.  I'll probably have another Subway sandwich for dinner this time with a Diet Coke.

Yeah, you're definitely relapsing. 3 taco salads? What did you eat at the cookout before the burger for dinner? Regular coke? Did the drink machine accidentally give you regular again?

Self discipline, man! You have none of it.

Lol. This diet is going nowhere. He'll be back to 275 and beyond. Like a stock, this is a mere pullback before the next leg up.

I took a nap for the first time in forever today. I guess napping is possible when you don't sleep at all the night before.

There's a term for your mind racing at night. Mine does that too. Is why I rarely sleep more than 6 hours. It's something like nighttime anxiety or something.

I sleep with a white noise machine. It helps me sleep. I really can't fall asleep in the quiet though. I'm not sure why. I've been that way most of my life.

Maybe you just don't drink enough caffeine for your weight. I hardly think it sedates you. Chemistry doesn't allow it.

You've just had so much soda that you've grown a tolerance to caffeine. Wink
