Well this is interesting. I thought Warnock would narrowly survive based on the weakness of Walker as a candidate but this could be damaging.

Herschel seems like a nice man and a good athlete, but he ain't cut out for the job.

My final prediction: Warnock 51, Walker 49

Warnock retires from politics in '28. He gets voting rights legislation done in his career.

Why should Warnock retire in 2028 when he's not even 60 years old? Unless he gets promoted to president or vice president.

I’m starting to think this will be a lopsided Warnock win. His performance in the Loeffler runoff and 2022 general were so impressive, especially in metro Atlanta. He is liked and respected by non-Democrats and Walker is awful. I just don’t see it being particularly close at this point.

What's your prediction then? 52-48%, or even 53-47%. I don't think it will be in double digits or even close to that. Even 51.5%-48.5% would be impressive. However, in the end, I just want Warnock to win.

DeKalb filled to the brim with canvassers today. Warnock's base is highly activated. 53% may not be out of the question.

I just want this to happen. Anything above 53% would be a huge punch in the gut of the Republican Party.

Also Kemp did better with the African American vote then Walker did . This once again shows that this entire idea of the way to make inroads with a specific demographic is too pick someone from that demographic is utterly false .

It always was, in both directions. Obama did better with white voters than other Democrats. Even remember that Hillary was initially leading among blacks in 2007, and only after Obama won Iowa, a predominantly white states, African Americans began flocking towards him after they were convinced he can win nationally.

Perhaps it's premature to say this, but unless Warnock successfully runs for president or vice president, he might be a lifer in the senate. Or at least stay on as long as he wants to, given the state's trend and his strong local brand.

He and Kelly might mirror each other in a sense. Ironically, both also won with 51.4% of the vote this year, according to Wikipedia.
