I don't get the staunch opposition to her from some Democrats or Berniebros. She's a pretty solid progressive, even though I don't like parts of her tenure as attorney general. I'd be excited to have her as the nominee, although Bullock and Beto are my very first choices. She'd be a decent running mate for either of these.

My biggest problem with her as the nominee is that would signal to the country that the backlash towards Trump is really more cultural than anything else and such would only make our polarization worse. I also don’t view her as a candidate of change; she’s an establishment candidate wrapped up in a young woman of color. She’s not inspiring at least to me and her personality is not one I look for in a presidential candidate. She’s too warm and bubbly.

Anyone who supports her is an establishment Democratic hack.

I am a proud establishment hack.

Another random fact: If she's elected, we would have one President of the United States born on the exact same date than another one died: Kamala Harris was born on October 20, 1964. On this day, Herbert Hoover, another president from California, passed away.

I love it how Doug Emhoff, Harris' husband, takes the mic away from the protester. Great guy who defends his wife, I would have done the same.

She has an opening now from Biden, hopefully polls will change

She'll be his running mate.

I've said it for a while, she's the Marco Rubio of 2020. Good on paper, but not resonating with voters at this point. I think her best hope is the vice presidential spot with Joe Biden as the nominee. The only other realistic nominee at this point, Liz Warren, would be well advised with another running mate such as Mayor Pete, Cory Booker or Steve Bullock.

I had always felt that way. Plus with California being her state, she would not even contribute anything to that regard besides being a mega echo chamber for the liberals

I don't think it's a California thing and don't like the California trashing (it's one of the best states). Being from California should actually help you in the primary, assuming you're popular enough to win big and collect a ton of delegates. But Kamala is trailing Uncle Joe, Liz and Bernie in California. This is terrible for her campaign.

I think her biggest problem is that she hasn't tapped an a unique message that gained traction and stayed on that. She doesn't have a signature issue and doesn't offer something the others don't. My prediction is a drop out after finishing with 3-4% in Iowa.
