No... his possition is complex and it is hard to explain in a soundbite... I wish we had more people on the right side who were that way.

Yeah, it is complex, but the thing is, it's not going to be what a lot of the people in that crowd will want to hear. Whether you or I or anyone else likes it or not, that will hurt him.

Yeah I noticed that too.

Matthews hits out at the debaters picking their questions.

Haha when he said he was intimidated by Arnold he seemed serious. :-D

Well, I would rather him go down like that.  I think people will respect him for saying what he thinks, at least... Brownback, surprisingly, kinda came to Rudy's rescue.

And I agree... this debate is just bad for McCain.

I respect that. I think it reflects why he can do well among independents. It's just the base that could hurt him.

OH GOD... Romney is pushing his new found respect for life hard

Yeah, Romney actually is a flip-flopper IMO...and I definitely think Rudy's view seems more clear now.

Paul flubbed his last question... not that it really matters.

Yeah. the question was pretty much directing him to talk about his Iraq vote, which he neglected to do until the end.

Iraq would have been good, the medical answer might have been good too, a different perspective from the others.

Paul is more a curiosity than anything, kinda like Kucinich in 04

But her supports the interwebs! Smiley

Considering that most of us on here know what you get from Ron Paul, to a really informed audience, he's done okay, but to the general public he needed to seem stronger. In a way, at least in speaking style, he seems milquetoast IMO. When all is said and done, a long-shot like Gravel will have done more to advance their campaign than a long-shot like Paul.
