The next election WAS scheduled for October 2015, however provincial law dictates that a new premier must go to the polls within 12 months of being sworn in.

Frank Coleman withdraws from PC leadership.
My understanding that they are no candidates left in the race.
Wayne Bennett was removed from the race
Bill Barry withdraw from the race
