This is a great example of why Cawthorn isn't going to survive long in Congress. Weirdo gadfly types almost always get booted in the primary if they don't mellow out (see Steve King, Cynthia McKinney twice back in the day and other examples that everyone has forgotten about now.) It may not happen this year but once the NCGOP paints a target on his back he'll be gone in a couple cycles.

The IAGOP isn't the NCGOP, which Cawthorn is pretty representative of. I think people like him, MTG, and Boebert are here to stay. If Boebert loses, it will probably be to a Democrat in a very bad Republican midterm.
People have already forgotten Renee Elmers. Yes she lost due to another Representative after redistricting but regardless she didn't survive. Also doubt MTG does because the GAGOP power brokers mostly hate her guts and there's a lot of ambitious R politicians in her district.

Boebert could lose in a wave but in the primary I see her as the least vulnerable of the three. I think the biggest weakness all three have though is that they actually come across as pretty dumb. Being an insane extremist is fine by the Republicans but there's less tolerance if you sound like a complete idiot while being one (also what probably did in Ellmers.)
