That's not surprising. This guy is just a hack perennial candidate they got stuck with again because they were expecting to face Lori Swanson.

And the sad thing he still might beat Ellison.

Given the allegations against Ellison, there’s definitely a legitimate argument to be made for voting Republican to keep him out of office.  I’d probably just vote write-in/third party b/c Wardlow is horrible too, but I can’t really fault anyone for deciding he’s the lesser of two evils.  I mean, how can you vote for Ellison if you believe the allegations against him (and I think this is a case where you could make decent arguments both for believing and being pretty skeptical allegations; I’m honestly undecided on this one, but I recall there being enough ambiguity that I don’t know that I could vote for Ellison in good conscience, although I could obviously be misremembering the details)?  This race isn’t nearly as clear cut a choice as it might ordinarily be and Minnesotans have two pretty awful choices.

Thank God you aren't voting in Minnesota and I am.

The Republicans really could've beaten Ellison. They fucked it up.

Well no one was expecting to face him instead of Swanson. So no one credible got in.
