I doubt it, considering he's actually made deliberate actions that would destroy his chances. He could've kept his approval ratings high and been set to be re-elected if he wanted to.

Yeah, as explained earlier, he has worse approval ratings among Democrats than Obama does among Republicans in the state. He'd be absolutely destroyed in any primary now, and wouldn't win enough Democrats as he did last time to get elected as an independent. He COULD'VE prevented this though by not acting like a party-screwing douchebag at every opportunity since being re-elected, so he's obviously not planning on running.

I wouldn't put it past him to run again as an independent to screw with whomever emerges as the Democratic nominee (someone better than Lamont, I would hope).

He'd probably take more votes from Republicans than Democrats at this point (seriously look at his approvals again) and the Republican would likely be a joke anyway.
