The arbitrary arrest of the CNN team was illegal and disgusting.

CNN headquarters has been stormed by protesters.

I can't find anything on this. CNN channel is covering Atlanta protests. CNN.com has nothing on this.

That doesn’t justify pretty blatant homicide. I mean, Floyd was already disabled as a threat minutes before he started begging for air. When Mr Floyd desperately gasped out in pleas to get a bit of air, that should have been pretty damn obvious for the officer, even with the context. A lot of police allegations are exaggerated/miss context. This one doesn’t and is pretty obviously murder on the officer’s part.
According to the indictment, Floyd had said that he could not breathe several times while standing up.
...We have video evidence of everything, I don’t know who you are trying to fool here.
Quote from: State of Probable Cause against Derek Chauvin
"While standing outside the car, Mr. Floyd began saying and repeating that he could not breathe."

The state authorities have the body cam videos/audios. They prepared the indictment. It is not likely that they would make it up.

I won't know who "we" is in your statement. Do you work for the Minnesota or Minneapolis authorities or FBI?

I think that what forumlurker was trying to say is that Floyd saying he can't breathe while standing up is irrelevant to the fact that he was suffocated by a knee while on the ground.

Floyd said that he couldn't breathe while standing up and when he was constrained on the ground. It is not unreasonable to believe that his position did not have an effect on his breathing.

An autopsy proved he was suffocated due to the placement of knees on his neck and back so it doesn't really matter what it might be reasonable to believe before we had that result. Now we know he was suffocated and why he suffocated.

I was simply asking for clarification of what PKG was asking.

Q starts with a c not a k.

It is an absolute tragedy that the other officers were charged and even worse are remaining held on $1 million bond. They deserve to be not guilty as quickly as the poor police senselessly charged in the Freddy Gray case. My heart goes out to them and their beautiful families needlessly suffering to quell a mob that knows no virtue when all they do every day of their lives is serve their community. So painful to know this injustice exists.

Let's let a jury decide. You don't know all of the evidence that supported these arrests. If there's exculpatory evidence they might be acquitted easily. As for the bail, thy're accused of abetting murder, of course they're not going to just be allowed to roam free.

We all know what supported the arrests because it's the same thing that always happens. Politicians felt there was a name to make for themselves by appealing to an unhinged and illogical mob against all sensible justice. Remember when Stephanie Rawlings-Blake thought she could make herself a national name. And especially Marilyn Mosby.

I don't know that. I assume that probable cause was found since they have been charged, and I'm willing to keep an open mind that there will not be proof beyond a reasonable doubt of their guilt.

Yeah I don't expect them to be acquitted and definitely agree with the arrests but will keep an open mind that there may be something we're missing. A trial will definitely sort it out and see justice is served, one way or the other.

This moves prosecution from unjust to downright evil. Anyone who supports this prosecution deserves misery for the rest of their lives.

Well they won't. There's no mechanism I can think of to effect that. Guilt if they realize later that he's innocent? As I said yesterday, let's wait for the trial. Maybe you're right and the case against him could even be dropped before then. Or maybe it's a slam dunk for the prosecution. None of us knows all of the evidence.
