In 2004, people talked about the "United States of Canada", because Kerry won all the states in the Canada border except Idaho, Montana and North Dakota.

Do you think that in the next elections we will talk about the Estados Unidos Mexicanos? California and New Mexico are safe D. Arizona and Texas were much more D in 2016 than they were in 2012. Maybe, all the states in the Mexico border will go D.

This may take a few cycles, but:



GOP wins 286-252, though the EV totals could be a bit different.

You would also have some new 'Canadian provinces' in the NE, down to VA.  There would be movements for both #NExit and #Mexit, with New Jesusland left over.

I think Illinois will keep blue (Leip's Atlas red), because the population of non-whites is big and because Chicago is a big city.
