They're holding back the vote.  It's common.

Joe Mo just gained about 1 K votes on Lamont.  My guess is the party establishment is holding back his vote.

Doesn't the party establishment back Lieberman?

Bingo!  They hold it back.  It makes their guy look like an underdog and it forms a "cushion," knowing how well the opponent is doing in his strong areas.

Most of the heavily Lamont areas have reported.

The remainder would have to be pretty heavily Lieberman.  I'm not sure the remainder is all that pro-Lieberman.  It's pretty much been stagnant since about 60%.

I'm not sure.  With one or two exceptions, Lieberman won each town by less than 60% of the vote.  His support has to comming from some place.

Lieberman outspent Lamont by more than 2 to 1, suckers.

Yes, and it's coming darn close to paying off.

Lieberman has had 6 towns with plus 60%.  They look like they are in the Hartford area.  That looks like his base.

A lot of what's out are areas surrounding Hartford.

It's probably over.

93.9% reporting

Lamont 51.7%
Lieberman 48.3%

Yep, Hartford just came in.  51%-48% Lamont.

That will close it, but Joe will probably gain a few tenths of a point.  Anybody know about the absentees?

One problem is fundraising.  Do Democrats nationally send money on Lamont to fight off Joe the Indy?  Do they then divert money from other races?
