It would be a question of ideology, not religious affiliation.  Reid as a conservative Democrat might do well, but I still think he'd lose it.  He might break 45%.

Possibly.  I believe Reid a member of the LDS and he is conservative (for a Democrat).  It will help, but not enough, IMO.

I would classify losing by 10 points as getting "ripped."  He has several advantages, he's LDS, from a neighboring state, and much more in line with the electorate there.  If we were talking about any other state, we'd be talking about him potentially winning it.
