The 3 Fs are from Winfield whos sneering at his tv now and J.J whos booing at his tv now and some other noob

I gave it an 85%, 2 points lower than Romney.

Virtually nothing on the economy.  No specifics (which was the main problem with Romney).  The military stuff was good.  A lot of it was repetitive.

I can cite three speeches in this convention that were better.

CNN did a focus group of undecided voters, that rated Obama's speech.  They had the dial to show responses that would be graphed.  It was a flat line.

A thought:

All the pundits were talking about how Obama already knows what the jobs numbers will be tomorrow and his speech could be an indicator of the numbers. Basically a more "gung ho we're on our way" speech could signify a strong number while a more humble speech could mean bad numbers.

Anybody give much credence to this?

I mentioned it previously.

Obama was still working on it in the afternoon, so a few paragraphs could have been changed.

D+

I enjoyed that he took the sacred cow of "tax cuts" to task, but it was otherwise vapid noise - like most convention speeches. I gave him a D because he neglected to mention the stimulus or the ACA; which I think is a cowardly move.

Stop trolling. It was a great speech that laid out a vision for the future and didn't relitigate the past four years.

Typical Dem tactics.  Someone criticizes Obama's empty speech and you call it trolling.

If someone wants to criticize the speech they are free to do so, and they don't need you throwing ridiculous attacks on their integrity.

If Obama's speech was empty, what does that make Romney's Huh

Both were lacking specifics, badly.  The problem that saw with Obama's speech was that it clashed with his own "forward," message.  You don't cite FDR, specifically his 1936 reelection, and say "forward" in 2012.

That said, it is a question of which speech is the least worst in terms of substance.
