The healthcare issue. Prior to that, it was just a bunch of pussy-hats and impotent moaning in the streets, but that debacle presented a plethora of opportunities and hot-button moments that definitely impacted public opinion more than anything (and more than for a few days).

The tax bill was more or less expected, so I think the effects of it were minimal. Immigration-related issues are the type of thing everybody gasps over but doesn't really care about; not going to impact votes outside of those who it affects.

Oh yeah the pussy hats. Forgot about those.
