Though really, if some Republican or Clintonista had any brains, they would be brainstorming some e-mail to pass around the Internet saying that Obama left Wright's church to go back to his original faith - Islam.  We'll see if a Lee Atwater-type exists for this one.

If this tape exists, why is it not on youtube? Reverend Wright's sermons were posted there months before the media firestorm.

They were on Trinity Church's own website (or Rev. Wright's website, I forgot which) before the controversy broke.  Not just youtube.

Say the church was his Christian front for his true Muslim beliefs and that the problems with the church meant he had to drop it.  He'll actually show his true colors after the eleciton.

Roger Stone is one of the major Republican dirty-tricksters out there.  One of those guys with real brains, not just one of those people who gets glorified by the media.

I am far from convinced, but Roger Stone saying it exists makes me sit up and listen.  He has lied before, but often times he possesses the real dirt (see, e.g. Eliot Spitzer).

On a less political note, I am the only person who was repulsed by that black-and-white pic of his Nixon tattoo in the latest New Yorker issue?

Every decent political campaign has at least one hatchet man, preferably more than one.  If you want to find trash, you need to head where the trash exists, so I don't see a problem with his actions there. 

I don't read the New Yorker, so I haven't seen it.

How is it trolling to state that with Clinton, Gore, Kerry and now Obama the democrats keep nominating candidates who have wives with... abrasive public personas and agendas of their own?

This board is pretty much an Obama lovefest.  I don't have a problem with that.  It's the nature of the playing field over here.  Lots and lots of really liberal posters that think Obama can do little wrong  I mainly come over here for campaign information and discussion of the status of the campaign.  I throw in my two cents, but mainly I'm here for polling information and links to information on the campaign - a campaign that interests me because this election is going to be very close.  No one has called me a troll yet.  If they do, so what?  Most posters are polite and knowledgeable - a few assholes but you find those on both sides of the partisan divide.

Only a troll would make these kinds of statements.
