I hope your Joking.....right?

Now if Obama's supporters move to South America and kill themselves in a mass-suicide then there just might be a connection. I just hope Peter King is the Congressman that gets murdered in the process.

Just Kidding....as far as I know.

Btw, Hagee is a nut too, and McCain should have denounced him quicker.  It took him until the second time to get it right.

Of course, McCain isn't actually attending Hagee's church, which makes the situation a bit different.

This thread is the perfect example of how the forum has become nothing more than an anti-Obama echo chamber.

Wow.

It's true. Nearly half of the people active in this section of the forum are constantly grasping at straws to sink Obama.

People such as you, htmldon, Jake, States, Spade, M, AHDuke, Torie, agcatter, Mitty, Phil, Soulty, and others are always present to post incessantly disparaging remarks upon the mere mentioning of Obama's name. It's not just simple opposition, either; when the anti-Obama posters come in, it's more of a barrage than an argument.

roftlmao.  The anti-Obama echo chamber is clearly in your mind.

Personally, I tell you what I see with regards to the campaign's news in the overall scheme of things.  Occasionally, I give my own opinion as to how it makes me feel.  You may have your own view on things, and that's ok.

But if you're going to close your mind like this, quite frankly we just head down the FR/DU/Daily Kos, etc. route, and there's no going back.

My opinion on this whole thing in the larger scheme is still:  This *could* permanently damage (or kill) him, not that it *will* permanently damage him.  Certainly it's hurting him fairly badly, otherwise you wouldn't see the amount of response you've been seeing.  How bad among the Democratic party electorate - I don't know.  How bad among the national electorate - probably worse, but I don't know there either.

The other point I've been making is that I think his response has been piss poor.  It's tough enough to explain away the church you attended for 20 years and the person behind the remarks, who is his  key "spiritual guide".  But his statements on the matter (the written ones at least) are couched in classic doublespeak and legalese, meaning that the language's purpose is to mean different things to different people.  You want him to denounce all it - I can read that from his comments.  You want him to denounce none of it - I can read that from his comments too.

As for my own opinion, it is as follows.  Normally for your typical politician, his response would be expected, but since Obama portrays himself as "a different politician", the response indicates to me, at least, that this is no different politician, but rather nothing different than what we've seen before.  Now, I've suspected this b/c of a number of things, but it merely reinforces that belief.  I suspect I'm not alone.  The problem with this belief being formed is that it leads to the next supposition - his disingenuous extends to other things as well.

As for the pastor's comments, I think I posted on this before, so I need not go there.  But to be frank, I knew some of his comments were out there and I disapproved then (and wondered what the hell Obama was doing at a church like that).  But the scope and variety of his remarks as released and shown now make it worse.  I had no idea there was this much.

In sum:  Open your mind.  Grow up.  Stop spinning and attacking other people.  Thank you.

Well, look, guys. I'm sorry for being a bit angry earlier. I let some things happening in real life affect my etiquette here. Phil, States, Sam, I don't disrespect your opinions, even if I do disagree with them. Although I was just stating things as I see them, I do acknowledge that my opinion is as biased as anyone elses. Once again, sorry.

Though States, I do like to think of myself as a decent poster. Tongue

Ok, fair enough Smiley

What I am really shocked at is this guy's lack of English grammar during his rants...
