I'm sorry, but it doesn't say much.

I watched Obama on Olbermann he said the pastor he knew for 20 years was different then the one who made those remarks. (What he said, not me, don't shoot the messenger)

As far as timing goes, if this had to come out, now isn't a really bad time to be perfectly honest. I'm a bit unsettled I'll admit but maybe we're not seeing the whole picture here.

No it's not the whole picture.  More pieces of the picture to come out in the form of more sermons in the next few days.

Something tells me Obama talking to Olbermann isn't going to quite reach the audiance (voting demographics) that are going to be concerned about this whole thing.  Olbermann's audiance is the hard core lefties.  Hell, they agree with everything Wright says.

Another unfair attack. The republican media has basically given the election to McCain....for now.

3) What would your opinion be if some generic candidate (republican or democrat) was a member of PETA but didn't believe that people should become vegetarians?

That would not be surprising as PETA does not want everyone to become vegetarian. They want everyone to become vegan. Tsk, tsk, MODU... get your facts straight!

This attack on Obama is disgusting. The republicans will do anything to win and will end America in the process.

Then here's an idea:  pick a winning candidate.   For once.

Winning = right-wing?

No thanks. The political system in America is far enough to the right already.

Wow, it's only March and the Republican swift-boat machine is in full gear. This is going to be one ugly election. McSame is willing to go as low as Bush.

With all due respect, McCain hasn't said a thing about any of this.

And judging by the responses the Obama-flacks on this site, they are handling this "Swift-Boating" with even less competence than Kerry campaign ever died.

No wonder the Hillary campaign has cleaned Obama's clock in all of the primaries that have mattered.

Obama came out and made the smart statement: "If I heard these comments repeatedly, then yes, I would have quit."

LOL. That's exactly why Hillary holds such a massive delegate lead right?

Hillary Clinton would be gone had it not been for New Hampshire. And California and Massachusetts. And Ohio. And likely PA as well.

She has won all the big Democratic states decisively, so stop playing stupid in ignoring it.

And yet she still trails in delegates. So obviously the primaries she's lost do matter, because if they didn't matter she would lead in delegates.

Some people's logic in this thread is reminiscent of my own regarding Republican candidates. Having a candidate merely be a member of such a vile party makes me question their judgment to the point where I simply cannot bring myself to vote for them.

This thread is the perfect example of how the forum has become nothing more than an anti-Obama echo chamber.

Here is the full text of the 'Audacity of Hope' sermon which apparently inspired Obama to join the church or something:
