Although this is not my fight and not my Region, I will say that I also think all three of these bills are pretty bad.

Two, I would oppose on personal grounds, but the Marriage Act is clearly unconstitutional and I oppose it on those grounds.

Perhaps you are a regional bigot; I have no way of knowing.
Hahaha!!! Cheesy Regional bigot? Surely you must be joking.

Actually, no.  Take a look at the statements of your Governor:

You know something though, I really have no time or patience any more for you guys from outside the region. I care about my region, not what a bunch of southerners think. I applaud MAS at least for voicing his opinions, but you guys are just not worth it anymore.

This comment would not be nearly so outrageous if he had not taken the time to mention Southerners specifically.  My question to Earl is, if I were residing in the Pacific, would you take my criticism more seriously?  I think we all know what the answer is.

I said that because  both you and Spade are from the south. No one else form any other region has said anything yet. If anyone else comes along to support you, it will be Jake, and surprise surprise, he's also from the south! I have nothing against the south, just the one's who are sticking their noses in my region.

I said my comments were to be ignored and not taken seriously because I am not from the Northeast, except in case of the Marriage Act, which is blatantly unconstitutional and I felt it might be of note for the people of the Northeast to realize that.

No, because the act deals with civil unions Smiley

See you in court.

Then what the hell is the point?  Atlasia already has civil unions.

Earl just wants there to be marriages instead of civil unions nationally, and is taking his own initative by defining civil unions as "marriages" in the Northeast in is what is clearly a federal prerogative.  He also says that these "marriages" are not "marriages" defined under federal law  because they are really civil unions that are called "marriages".  (a little bit of circular reasoning, if I ever saw it)

He still refuses to read Article 2, Clause 1 of my Act, which blatantly destroys any argument he might have (important part bolded):

1. The term "marriage" shall have no legal standing within the city, county, state, regional, or federal governments of Atlasia, nor within any law or laws nonexclusively that pertain to or deal with civil unions and divorce, adoption and emancipation of minors.

Nobody who supports the death penalty does so because it's an easy escape for criminals.

This is something I've never understood.  Anybody with a brain can see that killing a prisoner does not give them much opportunity to realize exactly what they did, perhaps feel remorse, or allow us to truly punish them.  I would prefer to let murderers and rapists et al suffer for as long as they can naturally survive.

99% of prisons today are not what I would classify as suffering to those within their walls.  As someone else has put it quite aptly on this forum, it's akin to vacationing at a bad hotel.

Now, if murderers who were sentenced to life in prison without parole, were made to do hard labor 12-16 hours a day, live in solitary confinement and forbidden from seeing no one from the outside world for the rest of their life, I would certainly give thought to changing my mind on the death penalty, as this would qualify as suffering to me.
