Instead of answering who you would have voted for, I have a new one.  What party would you have from 1860 onwards.

Here's mine:

1860-1869: Republican
1869-1897: Democrat
1897-1930: Republican
1930-1953: Democrat
1953-1997: Republican
1997-Present: Independent

1789-1792: Federalist
1796-1824: Republican
1828-1852: Democrat
1856-1864: Republican
1868-1892: Democrat
1896-1908: Republican
1912: Democrat
1916-1924: Republican
1928-1932: Democrat
1936-1944: Republican
1948: Democrat
1952-1988: Republican
1992-present: Democrat

It's not necessarily who you would vote for, just what party you would have been a part of.  For example, I would have been a Republican voting for Johnson in 1964.

Take your vote in 1992 for example.  Just because you supported Bill Clinton doesn't mean you would have changed your registration to Democrat.

1800-1828 -Democratic-Republican

I bet you would have broken party lines in 1892.  Smiley

1860 Southern Democrat
1864 Republican

Why would you support the Southern Democrats and then the Republicans?

 McClellan was an awful pick

OK, why would support the Southern Democrats in the first place?
