I don't know if it's me, but does anyone notice how this race is kind of like the 2000 election.  Popular incumbent who can't run for reelection, the incumbent is moderate, however, Lt. (governor or President) seems to be having a hard time.  For most of the campaign, the VP or LG has been down, but by the end it is getting close.  There's also a fairly strong third party.  Anybody?
