As a fan of the Bears (my 2nd favorite team), that will sadly be true this year.

As fans of Da Bears, do you blame John Fox or the asshats that put together the roster?
The management who puts the roster should be blamed far more than Fox to me.

1a on who should be blamed is Phil Emery, with 1b being Jerry Angelo, for doing such a terribly poor job of building a roster from the draft. So few draft picks actually amounted to anything, and they were usually off the team in a few years. Bust after bust after bust ruined this franchise.

The next group to blame is the McCaskey family and Emery for destroying anything the Bears had by hiring Marc Trestman. It was a dumb decision at the time and it is a dumb decision looking back at it. Just a moronic move on a guy who has no business in this league.

We should recognize that Fox might be a good coach, but we can't expect him to make a football contender out of a trash roster. That being said, Fox should take the blame for losses like the Jaguars loss last year. We seem to lose every close game, and a good coach should be able to squeeze at least one of those out, like the GB game last December. It would also be nice to have a somewhat inspiring coach rather than one who appears to be asleep on the sideline. If we handed Lovie's last team over to Fox, then maybe I would feel good about having him as my coach. But right now, he just seems kinda helpless out there and it feels like a waste of time.

I guess its still too early to determine whether Ryan Pace knows what he is doing as GM. But we will probably find out soon. I am not one to automatically assume this Glennon-to-Trubisky experiment will be a failure, but the pressure is on now to start getting better.
