Hmmm, listen to what common people are demanding, and DON'T give it to them...

My god it's so crazy it just might fail horrifically.

I'm of mixed feelings here. I like that he attacks Silicon Valley executives and UBI, because they suck. On the other hand, I don't like his overall anti-populist tone. Seems like the same type of tone Hillary used in the general.

This in some ways seems worse than Hillary's message.

I can see it now:

"Look, you folks don't REALLY hate corporations right?"
*Entire auditorium of people boos loudly*

What anti-populist tone?

“Some want to single out big corporations for all the blame. … But consumers, workers, and leaders have the power to hold every corporation to a higher standard, not simply cast business as the enemy.”

Are people more upset about the first part of that, or the second part?

Both. The comment is dismissive and misrepresenting not just Bernie but the roughly 45-50% of the party that voted for him. I have a lot of reasons to absolutely despise the ultra-rich, and none of them are because they aren't "patriotic enough"

He comes off as an out-of-touch idiot. Much like DrScholl in all of his posts.

It's basically the same message and platform that used to get him 4th or 5th place in the Iowa caucus in all those presidential runs.

Also the population of "Pragmatic centrist Democrats" is vastly vastly overrated and mostly a creation of op-ed columnists.

You didn't learn anything from Hillary's defeat. Sad!
Better than learning the wrong lesson. Your reaction is akin to those conservative who always complain that they lost because their candidate wasn't conservative enough, ignoring that elections are very rarely won by wing candidates. There is good reason why political strategy has been dominated by the idea of conquering the center.

You...do know that Trump is President right?

Hillary's loss does not mean going to the fringe left will win an election in a center-right country.

Slamming my head into my desk, thank you RFKFan.

"Folks, let me tell you about my good personal friend, the late George Wallace, and how he would feel ashamed of Trump's tweeting."

Seriously, what the f**k is he doing?
