Either would be a surprise given Bolduc's apparent lead. Nobody here has any of Trump's apparent three keys to an endorsement: (1) a solid advantage, (2) a personal connection, or (3) a sincere adherence to his policies.

Right. I do remember Lewandowski saying the Trump endorsement was Coming Soon a few months ago - although I might be thinking of NH-1.

This is always who Sununu has been. He admitted that one of the voter suppression bills he signed would suppress the student vote and lied about opposing it. He also lied about an abortion ban, and voted for the lack of exceptions that he later repealed. To this day, there's still a ban in cases of rape and incest. The list goes on and on.

Now normal logic would be to paint him as a flip-flopper, but this is the Democratic Party, and when Sununu was making a name for himself the NHDP had terminal #Resistance brain. So the NHDP ran 4 years of him saying "I'm a Trump guy through and through" and got themselves into this place anyway. Sure, maybe he never would be underwater, but at least he'd never be Phil Scott levels of popular.

This is true, in a way. Hassan has been releasing ads casting herself as a bipartisan moderate and calling for more border security. Many other Democrats have been trying to depict themselves in a similar manner, claiming that they are "standing up to Biden."

The NHDP is actually doing this on the Congressional level. Pappas is running ads stressing his bipartisanship and his approach on crime, but is also running ads on the economy. As is Hassan.

Meanwhile, the gubernatorial campaign against Sununu is almost almost entirely abortion, despite Sununu signing off on doubling our electric bills to preserve Eversource's record corporate profits and Brownbacking our public schools. It's very weird because they're objectively good at the federal level but run their state campaigns like a dirtbag left caricature.

If they're anything like the Citizens for Sanity ads I've seen in Georgia, I think these can have a boomerang effect.  Insane stuff.
