Still not halftime, but Missouri is leading #1 Georgia 13-3.

Should have been last week for the Duke Game (they could have had Jay Bilas as the guest picker or something).

I'm looking ahead to November 12 and wishcasting that GameDay will come to Starkville for Georgia @ Mississippi State

Nah, it'll be Alabama/Ole Miss that week for GameDay.

Four Weeks in a row with a sacking at a Power Five job.

Colorado isn't one of the best head coaching gigs in the PAC-12, but they can get a decent coach if they look hard enough.

My guesses for the next head coach at Colorado:

Former Nebraska Head Coach Scott Frost
Former Florida Head Coach Dan Mullen
USC Defensive Coordinator Alex Grinch
USC Offensive Coordinator Graham Harrell
Boise State Head Coach Andy Avalos

Rutgers
Houston
Nevada
UNLV

TCU (I want to believe in Kansas, but TCU did just beat Oklahoma. That said, if Kansas wins this, they are going to a New Year's Six game)
Tennessee (LSU isn't as good as their ranking)
Mississippi State
Texas (actually looking forward to seeing this one in the SEC)
Louisville
Buffalo
Oklahoma State
Utah (UCLA isn't as good as their unbeaten record indicates)
Tulane
Kent State
Duke
North Carolina
Western Kentucky
Wyoming
Florida Interntional (There had to be better games than this garbage)
BYU
Kansas State
Illinois
NC State
Oregon State

Paul Chryst is out as Head Coach at Wisconsin.

Wisconsin is still a very good job and should be able to get a great coach who can lead the Badgers to at least regular Big Ten West Division Titles.

My best guesses as to who will be the next Head Coach at Wisconsin.

Former Ohio State Head Coach Urban Meyer
Baylor Head Coach Dave Aranda
Pittsburgh Head Coach Pat Narduzzi
Syracuse Head Coach Dino Babers
Kansas Head Coach Lance Leipold

Adding Louisiana Tech over UTEP (that's the one I'm missing, right?).

The only 2 who I could see even entertaining Wisconsin are Babers and Leipold, the others have better jobs already or would get higher profile offers.

I see your argument about Meyer, and possibly Aranda, but I fail to understand where Pittsburgh is a better job than Wisconsin.

Wisconsin plays in a better conference, plays in the weaker division in said conference, and has even made three NY6 games under Chryst, while Pitt has only made one under Narduzzi. How is Pitt a better job?

Could Nebraska actually make the Big Ten Title Game?

They just beat Rutgers 14-13 and moved to 2-1 in the Big Ten (wins against Indiana and Rutgers, loss to Northwestern), and have a somewhat favorable schedule remaining (they don't face Ohio State or Penn State and get Wisconsin at home, with the only obvious loss that I can see being the road game against Michigan on November 12, and possibly the home game against Minnesota the previous week). 7-3 or 8-2 in Conference, or even 6-4 if they lose one of @Iowa/vs. Wisconsin, should be enough to make the Big Ten Title game this year the way the rest of the Big Ten West is playing.

Kansas will not become bowl-eligible this week, losing to #17 TCU 38-31.

Given the embarrassing 49-0 loss to Texas this week, and the fact the Sooners don't have a Big Twelve victory yet, what are the odds Brent Venables is fired as Oklahoma head coach at some point this season?

Okay, week isn't over yet, but I'm now confident in my playoff and New Year's Six picks after this week.

Orange: Syracuse vs Penn State

Sugar: Oklahoma State vs Tennessee

Rose: USC vs Michigan

Cotton: UCLA vs Coastal Carolina

Peach: #1 Alabama vs #4 Clemson

Fiesta #2 Ohio State vs #3 Georgia

Why are you such a TCU hater? We should be good enough to be at least in your NY6 rankings now since we beat Kansas, sad!

TCU probably needs to beat Oklahoma State, either next week (that should get them into the Cotton Bowl, assuming they make the Big Twelve Title game and lose, and all other results elsewhere go their way) or in the Big Twelve Title Game (which would get them into the Sugar Bowl). Oklahoma's collapse is hurting the conference overall, quite frankly.

TCU or Oklahoma State still get into the playoff with 1 loss I think, not just NY6

A one loss Michigan or Penn State (assuming the only loss is to Ohio State) and a two-loss Alabama/Georgia are both ahead of them. Possibly also a one loss Clemson team that loses the ACC Title game if their opponent is also ranked.

Anyone want to guess which coach gets fired tomorrow?

I'd probably bet on Brian Harsin, personally, but that might be a sucker's bet.

Any program that fires a coach in his first year (non-interim) will never be able to get a good coach again
On the other hand, every team that already fired their coach won this week. Oklahoma would've won Red River if they just fired Venables beforehand.

That's cheating. Colorado had the week off.

Illini wins 9-6 over Iowa. Is bowl eligibility coming for Illinois?

Forget bowl eligibility, Illinois has to be the favorite in the Big Ten West now. They have a very soft remaining schedule, as they don't face Ohio State or Penn State at all, get Minnesota at home, at might already have the division wrapped up when they travel to Michigan (the only obvious loss remaining before the Big Ten title game.), And if they WIN the Big Ten Title game, presumably against Ohio State, we could be talking about Illinois going to the Playoff!!!

Baylor

Michigan
Kansas (this result would have been unthinkable three weeks ago)
Illinois
Tennessee (After last week, I think I can safely bet against Nick Saban, and who better to take him down than a hot Tenneseee team?)
Oklahoma State
Syracuse (this would have also been unthinkable a couple of weeks ago)
BYU
Eastern Michigan
Western Michigan
Wisconsin
Rice
LSU
Arkansas State
Clemson
Kentucky
Notre Dame
Purdue
Memphis
USC
Duke
Washington State
Air Force
Fresno State
Nevada

Can't think of a better choice for College GameDay than the Third Saturday in October game.

Next week will probably be Mississippi State @ Alabama, but it really should be UCLA @ Oregon, Syracuse @ Clemson, Texas @ Oklahoma State or Ole Miss @ LSU.

With Kansas's starting Quarterback being out for the season, I am switching my pick in the Kansas/Oklahoma game to Oklahoma.

Upset Alert!

With less than seven minutes to go, Louisiana leads Marshall 23-13.

The Thundering Herd entered this game as 10.5 point favorites.

With Matt Rhule having gotten fired as head coach of the Carolina Panthers, the former Baylor Head Coach is back on the open market.

Do you see a school like Wisconsin or Nebraska (or Auburn when that job opens up) making a run at him?
