#18 Iowa running away with this one against #17 Indiana 31-3.

Meanwhile, #11 Oregon survives against Fresno State 31-24.

I told you Penn State is legit. They could (like, 30% chance) beat Ohio State.

If Penn State goes undefeated, they could make the playoff.

That said, I think, they probably lose to Ohio State, Michigan and Auburn, and I wouldn't be shocked if they lost to Iowa too.

#21 Texas with an easy win against #23 Louisiana 38-18.

Meanwhile, #7 Iowa State just barely avoids being embarrassed, with a 16-10 win over Northern Iowa.

Virginia
Army
Ohio State
Tennessee
Oklahoma State
Syracuse
Notre Dame
Texas A&M
Florida Atlantic
Nebraska
TCU
Navy
Iowa (My upset pick of the day, though I wouldn't be shocked if the betting lines have Iowa favored)
Houston
Miami (FL)
Texas
Mississippi State
SMU
Kentucky
Michigan (The other upset pick. The Wolverines look like they actually have a Quarterback)
Colorado State
Arizona
Utah
USC
Oregon State

I hate to be a nitpicker, but why is Friday's Kansas/Coastal Carolina game not on our schedule?

I'm not the schedule maker, but I strongly suspect everyone would pick Coastal.

I don't know. It just smells like a trap game for Coastal Carolina for me.

UConn Head Coach Randy Edsall will retire at the end of the season.

Got to wonder who, if anyone, UConn might get to coach next year. Someone like Yale's Tony Reno might be doable for them.

Why is Notre Dame at home against a MAC team even on there lol. A home Notre Dame game NBC doesn't even want to put on TV, lol.

I think we should have picked Kansas/Coastal Carolina instead (though Coastal Carolina is running away with that game right now).

Virginia just flattened Illinois, 42-14.

Now, what the Illinois fans who post here (JGibson, Illiniwek, RINO Tom, etc.) saying about the Illini being good this year again?

I think the key question here is: just how bad is Nebraska???

As I said, they are terrible. (possibly the worst in the Big Ten) Probably still favorites to beat Buffalo today, but I've taken Buffalo +13.5 anyway, as that's practically a gift vs this Nebraska team.

Buffalo beating Nebraska straight up wouldn't shock me, actually.

Is this the year Oregon makes the playoffs?

All signs point to yes, especially since their toughest remaining match is probably either on the road at UCLA or on the road at Washington until the PAC-12 Championship Game at what I presume at this point will be USC.

Win all of those games, and Oregon's a lock for the playoff.

I don't think anyone mentioned it earlier, but #10 Iowa won the Cy-Hawk trophy easily, defeating #9 Iowa State 27-17.

I'm starting to wonder, the way Texas is playing against Arkansas, if the players/coaching staff are opposed to the decision to join the SEC?

UCF
Maryland

Oklahoma
Cincinnati
Virginia Tech
Michigan State (My first upset pick of the day. Through two games, Miami (FL) has not looked good at all)
Minnesota
Kansas State
Notre Dame
Alabama (I really want to pick the upset, but I just can't bring myself to do it)
Wake Forest (Florida State has looked awful this season. I wouldn't be shocked if Mike Norvell got fired by the end of the season, especially if Florida State can raise the money to do it. They only question is who they can hire)
USC
Mississippi State
Northwestern
Wyoming
Georgia State
Utah
Auburn (Picking the upset, largely based on the SEC's reputation alone)
North Carolina
Air Force
Ole Miss
Boise State (playing on the blue turf in Boise is a massive advantage for the Broncos. Very hard to pick against them there)
Arizona State
UCLA
Hawaii

Trying to think of who USC might hire to replace Helton.

For some reason, I'm thinking Oregon Head Coach Mario Cristobal and Oklahoma Head Coach Lincoln Riley should top their wish list.

Why stop at Riley? Why not include Saban, if we're including people who have zero interest in this opening? Not even sure that Cristobal would leave a comfortably humming program to go try to muck out Heritage Hall. He's at least a reasonable target, but another well-resourced and historically great program has already tried to pry away Cristobal and failed.

Realistic names here, besides Cristobal, are James Franklin, if they can pry him away from Penn State, and Luke Fickell. USC's new AD is the ex-AD at Cincinnati and hired Fickell, so the relationship is there already.

Saban's more of a Defensive oriented head coach and that wouldn't be a good fit at Quarterback U (USC).

James Franklin will never leave, he loves the cult and its vast potential of covering up crimes when he needs them to.

You mean to tell me that any school that had a Sandusky situation wouldn't have done what Penn State did?

If you're saying that, you're dead wrong.
