Lake just posted this on Twitter, it appears that IT is happening soon

Same energy as when MTG asked for decorum when she was manning the gavel and the entire democratic caucus burst out laughing.

Masters seems to have learned from his mistakes. I don’t know if it will be enough to beat Gallego but Lake would be far weaker
Not sure if "mistakes" are the main reason for his defeat, the guy just comes across as an extremely weird creep in a way that isn't easy to rectify. I think it's going to take more than 2 years for him to be seen as something other than a weirdo 4chan poster type.

I've heard this often, but what is it about him that gives off that vibe? His face, tone, way he speaks?

Glad to see Lake is touching on the real hot button issues voters deeply care about such as the Senate dress code.

If Lake is the Republican nominee she may finish third in the general.

Related question: When was the last time a Democrat or a Republican came in third place in a Senate general election? This is discounting races in Maine and Vermont where King and Sanders are the de-facto Democratic nominees.

McAdams in Alaska came third behind Murkowski and Miller.

This is funny to me - shows that even if Sinema was still a Democrat, the Republican running against her would really be grasping at straws.

The Code Pink tutu pic from 2003? Doesn't Kari Lake know McSally tried that last time? Sinema should turn the tables and accuse Lake of treason

At least she's being honest with herself that she's going to get more Republicans than Democrats.

Not surprised though that she's pushing the same "both parties are gonna nominate extremists!!!" line.

Tilt Gallego —> Lean Gallego, maybe even likely if Sinema takes away all those disenfranchised McCainite Republicans

Man, I wish Sinema weren’t running. She adds a layer of unpredictability to this race that we just don’t need. She might take more votes from the red team, but she also might not.

Yeah, at least this analysis seems to be grounded in reality. I expect she jumps in, betting Lake gets nominated and that the moneyed GOP donors consolidate around her as they expect Lake to implode in a GE.

I don’t think it’s likely, but if we get stuck with another six years of this woman… oy.

So she'll be courting right-leaning voters. I can live with that.

Considering her approvals with Arizona dems (which I've heard are not so great), I definitely don't see how she doesn't get more republican votes.

In other words, democrats will be united behind their candidate (Gallego), and republicans...not so much.

Honest to god Sinema is so reviled that any dem politician who even hints at supporting her will become a pariah. Has there ever been an incumbent so radioactively toxic without an actual scandal

Lieberman managed something like that but he was a three-term senator and former vice-presidential candidate who had excellent relationships with his colleagues from both parties.
Sinema on the other hand is a freshman weirdo who is loathed even by her own caucus. It seems that the only one who likes her is Mitch McConnell and I doubt that his endorsement will do her more good than harm.

Also, good luck getting Republican votes when the voters are reminded that she voted to convict Trump twice.

Prediction of Senate endorsements in a Lake, Sinema, Gallego race

Sinema:
Officially:
Manchin
Collins
Murkowski
Romney

Some establishment GOP senators support unofficially

Lake:
Vast majority of senate Rs including Daines

Neutral: Kelley, Tester

Gallego- All other Senate Dems.

By Kelley, do you mean Mark Kelly? I think he ultimately endorses Gallego. Sinema did the bare minimum for Democrats here in 22 (you could argue, though, that few wanted her attention) and even said stuff like “regardless of who wins I can work with anyone” while also claiming that Kelly would win re-election.

It’s been a relationship of convenience, in my opinion, and Kelly has little reason to keep it going.
