Not really the thread to have this discussion but your stated factors will certainly intensify in the coming years and that's why Bernie has become an integral force in the Democratic Party today. His candidate won 200 delegates and that's a highly decent showing. The winner is a strong populist progressive who laid out some of the most progressive elements of Barack Obama's administration.

The Democrats are a rising economically populist coalition (Bernie will propel them there) who are about 4-12 years from replacing the Reagan neoliberal coalition.

I hope you're right, but I have a hard time being so optimistic right now. Democrats seem bent on doubling down with becoming the party of the upper-middle-class.

Except the California Democrats weren't prepared. Watch as the other state parties pass rules to kneecap Bernie supporters. They'd rather lose with the Third Wayer than win with a progressive.

We need to keep up hope. The best way to ensure defeat is to think it's inevitable.
