Ted Cruz, but they're both awful. I'm guessing this is about 2024 and yeah I could see it coming down to them. Cotton is a little worse because I guarantee hawking war and increasing the size of the military industrial money pit would be major themes of his campaign.

Cruz, mainly on the basis that he acknowledged racial disparities in sentencing as a justification for voting for the First Step Act. Tom Cotton said we had an under-incarceration problem.

Would be interested in a Cotton vs. Hawley poll as well.

Both of them are awful. However, Cruz is very slightly less bad than Cotton.

Like I said, both of them are repulsive though.

Isn't Hawley more fiscally moderate than Cotton?

Cruz, because he is not a racist like Cotton. Nevertheless, they are both HPs in my view.

Cruz. While I think both are abhorrent, at least Cruz has some more appreciation of the Constitution and is less outright hawkish on foreign affairs. Cotton is just bad all around.

Cruz because at the very least he's principled in his beliefs, in that he's a constitutional conservative at heart. Cotton is just a slimeball who will say what he thinks is popular in the current conservative movement.
