These are the results of a Harris Poll of 2,119 adults of whom 1,390 were likely voters, surveyed online between October 16 and 20, 2008.

LV:

Obama - 50
McCain - 44

RV:

Obama - 49
McCain - 41

I read Bob Shrum's book, and he always referenced the Harris Poll. He made mentions of it numerous times, especially during his campaigns in the 90s.

Why is that?

Does the Harris Poll have a good industry wide reputation?

Allthough it's an Internet Poll, it has actually very sound internals.
