I presume that, given the father retains ownership over Allison, he will retain rights to her unless otherwise. It seems like Bushie has entered into an option-contract with Papa Bushie, which vests upon his completion of the list of demands, and Papa Allison will keep it open for an undisclosed amount of time.

I just wonder how long Bushie has to complete this list. Further, looking at this from a property viewpoint, I wonder if Papa Allison has the right to end the engagement should Bushie pop the question next week and then fail to complete the list of demands. I assume that Papa Allison has a right of reentry in Allison subject to the conveyance to Bushie since this sounds like he structured it as a fee simple subject to condition subsequent.

Until Bushie reveals the details on this contract, all we can do is speculate.

Again, there are no demands.  The only requirement for proposing to her is that I get a job, first.  No other demands are requirements were made.  Pretty reasonable, I would say, and nothing I wasn't already planning on doing, anyway!

So you must get a job before you can propose? No chance you propose before you have a job?

What happens if he gets a job, proposes to Allison and then loses the job shortly after proposing? That's not exactly an unlikely scenario given his history.

That's doubtful to happen.  If it happens, I will get another job as quickly as I can.

Would you finally accept retail or fast food if that urgent situation popped up?

I've never been to the midwest, but I intend to go when I get the invitation. Considering a handful of us are responsible for Jeffison still being Jeffison, it's only courteous that we are invited to the wedding. After all, we are owed it.

Don't worry baby, we're already invited. That's what I've been losing all this weight for.

Will you have lost enough weight by the time of the wedding next month?

I'm seeing up for kind of a busy weekend.   I'm going to take Allison to Alva where I went to college on Friday,  then eating supper and watching fireworks with her that evening,  then going to my parents late Friday night and staying there until Sunday afternoon.   I am in no position to propose to Allison this weekend so don't get any ideas.  Smiley

Will you be dieting this weekend or will you be eating a lot of grilled hamburgers because it's the American thing to do?

It's the Fourth of July... it's one of the 165 days a year where Bushie cannot be expected to deny himself.

I had 4 interviews over the past two days.  I'm especially excited about today's interview.   It was a CAD job and it was for people right out of school.   I had the interview early this afternoon and though it went very well.  I rattled off all the software I used in school and I exhibited a lot of confidence about my skills and abilities.   They seemed to be impressed with what I told them.  They stayed in the interview room right after I left and presumably talked about the interview.   They said I should hear something by Monday or Tuesday.  They are hiring 4 people.   One of the things I told them is that if they give me an offer on Monday,  I could start that evening or Tuesday.  They seemed to like that statement.   It is primarily an 8-5 M-F job with occasional overtime as projects warrant.   It is a 3 month contract-to-hire.   All in all,  I feel very good about this one.

Administrative Support.  I don't want to go any further than that because of Mondale-gate.

The day of BushOklahoma's wedding should be declared a national holiday IMHO.

Highly doubtful, it will probably end as we get closer to the actual wedding.

So, "yes".
