And I've had posters on here telling me The United States could win a war with China. Could you imagine this unpatriotic, conspiracy obsessed, not willing to sacrifice, whiny, violently stupid public having to bite down and sacrifice for the common good to defeat anything?

Wearing a mask is one of the easiest sacrifices that I can make.

 exactly.

The American public has been conditioned to live in fantasy. Climate Change isn't real, It's just weather! We can fight expensive wars while giving big business and yourself a tax-cut, we don't need to concern ourselves with racial injustice because everything is fair if you just "comply". Just total nonsense.

If half the populace can't be bothered to wear a mask and we have violent militia groups who plot to kill Governors and Mayors for this offense on their "freedoms" can you imagine the sacrifices they'd balk at in massive war with China, nevermind the violent and crazy energy they'd manufacture against our leaders.

fortunately, in a country of 330 million we can find a tiny few of those that aren't that.  There is no question we could win a war with China.

We wouldn't lose, but that's not necessarily the same as winning.

Why is it the responsibility of a restaurant to "enforce" a government mandate?

This mandate puts small businesses in terrible positions.  If they don't keep people in masks, people will sue if they get Covid--19; they'll blame the restaurant.  On the other hand, if people are made to wear a mask and they have an asthma attack or a panic attack, or they have emphysema and have difficulty breathing requiring hospitalization for having to wear the mask extensively, they'll sue the restaurant for ignoring their health issues if they don't have a doctor's note.

Why is Small Business so Republican while Big Business and Corporate America (to my shock, I must say) now becoming a special interest of the Democratic Party?  One reason is that Big Business has always had the financial wherewithal to survive intensive regulations and mandates placed on them by Government, while Small Businesses are severely impacted by such regulations.  It's been a fact of life since the New Deal.  This is not to say that businesses should not be regulated or that all regulations are bad, and it's not to say that Small Businesspeople don't do a certain amount of whining about "crushing" regulations.  But this sort of regulation IS crushing to small business, in that it puts them in a position where they become exposed to extreme liability.

America has become an extremely litigious society.  People are unwilling to do ordinary neighborly things because of what could go wrong and what liability one can face.
