A Michigan judge has ordered the release of a report on Antrim County voting equipment after state and county officials withdrew objections, saying the plaintiff's attorney had already publicly released his version of the findings in any case.

Elsenheimer, a former Republican lawmaker, did not base his order on unofficial results that showed Democrat Joe Biden got more votes than Republican President Donald Trump in the solidly GOP county — a mistake both county and state officials have attributed to an error the Republican clerk made when updating ballot information. Instead, the judge cited a closely decided village proposal to allow a marijuana dispensary.

Official results show Trump beat Biden in Antrim County by about 4,000 votes out of about 16,000 votes cast. Statewide, Biden beat Trump by more than 154,000 votes.

It's finally over, Trump and his Crt cases are done, he can only dispute from the Congress and it won't matter, the Govs are gonna stand by each of their states verdict, with Tom Wolf and Whitmer and Evers there is no way Trump can win. If and objection is in the House, it's up to Govs to stand by Electors

Yeah. Before 2016, last faithless elector was 2004, when it was probably an accident (someone voted for Edwards twice).

There was also a faithless Gore voter in 2000 from DC, but that was just in protest of DC's lack of Congressional representation. Before that, last time was in 1988 when a West Virginia elector voted for Bentsen instead of Dukakis to make a point about the potential for faithless electors under the current system.

Notable that neither of those cases involved an elector for the winning candidate and both were gestures of protest; almost certainly they wouldn't have happened if their candidate won and their votes were decisive.

The Hillary faithless electors consisted of a couple of left-wing protest voters (one for Bernie, one for Faith Spotted Eagle) and a group from Washington who had tried in vain to convince Trump electors to vote for Colin Powell instead as a compromise. Trump only needed 130.000 votes more in 3 states, so yeah, it was quite close on the EC level ...
