RULE 1: BRTD is not allowed to turn is into a topic about him having sex.

Now, at my school, Buffalo State College, in the Health department and many other buildings on campus (they even tossed 'em in our mailbox at times) free condoms are easily available. How well these condoms work is unbeknownst to me, as I prefer purchasing my own, but that's not the point.

Should public universities, funded by the taxpayers, be distributing these to students?

I imagine that the cost is relatively cheap to have these readily availble, and college students are going to have sex regardless. Now isn't to say that abstinence shouldn't be promoted on colleges (it flat out isn't, and some people just SHOULDN'T REPRODUCE. or even attempt to).

I say yes. Promote abstinence more, because the extreme liberalism at most colleges just irks me. But have some condoms available, to prevent most of these idiot students from having children.

I voted yes before I saw the word "free". I dont think they should be free, but you should be able to get them from a vending machine in the washroom for maybe $1 or something.

Free?  No.
At Cost?  Sure, if they want to.

Like I said in the other thread, my college does this too, and I think it's great. Of course they should.

No, it just encourages pre-marital sex. Besides, I would not trust a flimsy piece of nylon to prevent you from having the responcibilty of a kid.

That makes sense. Why should they be free? Why should tax payers and tuition paying parents have to buy condoms for college students? Learn some responsibility. Buy them yourself. Hell they don't cost much.

It makes perfect sense for my school to give out free condoms since each dorm floor is literally covered with loads of posters about safe sex and using condoms. They also would get one room on each floor to be the condom room where they would give free condoms and people on the floor could stop by to ask for some. Came in handy quite a few times for me. I can, I'd just rather save the money. Since my school is giving them out for free there's no reason to buy them really. Of course I have to now during the summer but they aren't that expensive anyway.

Give me, give me, give me. No wonder economic liberals get such a bad rap. Buy your own.

When my university is offering something for free, why should I turn it down?

Free, yes.

That said, I don't like them.  I'm more for free distribution of the Pill, etc. Smiley

so um, you DON'T use condoms? Seeing prostitutes without a condom is like skydiving without an extra parachute or white water rafting without a lifejacket.

It not only encourages people who are having premarital sex to continue doing so it actually pushes people who would not have sex in a direction they wouldn't necessarily go.  At my school, people are very susceptible to various peer pressures, and when a University implies that its abormalfor someone not to go around bonking, you get what a rational person would expect to get- more bonking.

But mostly I say no because you cheap ass motherers can buy your own ing rubbers.  My tuition ($37,000 a year) is for education.  Keep your hands off my ing money.

Did you all ever hear of "activity fees."  You are forced to pay for events, even if you never go.  My vote, all things considered is yes.

It's probably cheaper than pregant students and better AIDS infected students.

I never said that.. just that I don't like them - very second rate sort of experience compared to au naturelle.  I certainly never used them when doing college girls (talk about excessive caution).
