I suspect that Trump's regular media consumption is very pro-Trump, pro-alt-right. Being subjected to a normal newsfeed probably feels to him much like being locked in a room and forced to watch Fox and Breitbart would feel to non-Trump supporters.

To be fair to Trump, this seems to have been while he was resting at the Ambassador's residence after the trip over but before meeting with the Queen.
