Yes.  Once.  I went to Bible camp once, but to church camp one other time.

It was at this camp in southern Wisconsin, and it was actually really nice.  I felt a little heathenish though because my grandparents and I got a cabin together and I'd sometimes skip the devotions session to read Harry Potter.

It was a ridiculously conservative thing but the food was amazing.

Yes.  As a teen. Sneak off with a girl.  Then "go forward" and repent at the evening church service.

Actually, I have become a big believer in VBS since I've watched our church do it.  The kids love it -- no hellfire -- just lots of love and fun to go around.

Oh yeah, I used to help a local Lutheran church with VBS and I went to Lutheran VBS as a kid... both were great experiences.

Mostly, we'd just have various stations set up.  Some were for arts and crafts, some were for games... but usually there was some kind of pageant at the end that everyone participated in.  Sure, it wasn't the funnest thing in the world, but it was a good time.
