(Grayson's logo doesn't actually feature a coffee mug, but is merely superimposed on this coffee mug that you can probably still purchase on his website. Gotta pay down that campaign debt somehow.)
It's very basic, but I think he pulls it off in a retro way. This is something that could have been done in MS Paint, but doesn't look like it was.
Green and blue avoids the triteness of the typical red-white-and-blue color scheme, but also isn't very bold. The thick, blocky last name prevents the script lettering of "Karen" from seeming too feminine.
Paul Broun's weird shield thing. For some reason, I couldn't get a larger version from his website.
This is actually on an orange background on his website. I think the overall effect is quite nice. The hexagon is an unusual shape in campaign graphics and orange is a color we need to see more of. It transcends partisanship and jingoism but without being too obvious the way the color purple is.
Even if you erroneously think his name is Phil Gingry, that's not too big of a deal.
Bland, corporate, focus-grouped to death. Kind of like David Perdue.
