It's more the egregious intellectual dishonesty that the Romney campaign exudes. It's a pity only scumbags can get elected in America (and when we get non-scumbag Presidents, such as Carter, they're incompetent. So either way, we're screwed).

I find Romney to be as odious as George W Bush.

^, but for me even more odious.

I find it amusing how now that McCain looks like the nominee, Democrats have gone into full McCain-hatred mode.  Just like last year.

If Mitt Romney were the nominee, you could be sure that BRTD would be making threads like "OMG!!!  WHY COULDN"T THE REPUBLICANS GET SOMEONE SANE LIKE JOHN MCAIN@??!?  I DON"T SUPPORT HIM< BUT AT LEAT HE"S NOT A TOTAL ING EVIL BATsh**t INSANE WARMONGER IDIOT LIKE JOHN MCCAIN!!"""""""

Mitt Romney exemplifies everything I hate about America much more than John McCain does.
Please explain that statement. Do you despise the American meritocracy? Do you loath hard work and perseverance? Do you abhor ambition?

lol, not quite. It's more the egregious intellectual dishonesty that the Romney campaign exudes. It's a pity only scumbags can get elected in America (and when we get non-scumbag Presidents, such as Carter, they're incompetent. So either way, we're screwed).
Actually Carter was also a real son of a bitch in many ways. Foreign Policy wise pretty much everyone we've elected the last 60 years has been.

Not me.  I admire McCain and I have for years.  I won't vote for him, but I won't be too worried if he wins.

And as much as I would like your previous sig back, the current one is growing on me.  You brighten all our lives, Blubb.

Romney, I'd rather have the liar that people figured out is a liar than the liar that people think is honest.

If you think that Mitt Romney's foreign policy would be much different than John McCain's you're pretty foolish.

True. Though, we could count on Romney to become a peace loving pacifist about 20 minutes after taking office...only to come out of the closet as a war hawking fascist sympathizer.

McCain, hands down.

But I will be voting Obama or Clinton before McCain.

Two war mongering hacks with ideas that run opposite of my own. The only difference is that I could count on McCain to be the same one day as he was the previous day. The same can't be said for Romney.

McCain has my 'favored' Republican status, so it's gotta be him

You may want to check out the McCain in 1993 thread.
