Now hold on... I'm not the biggest fan of Phil politically and disapproved of his actions during the Trondheim Affair. But how is vetoing something going against a unity pledge? If he disagrees with a bill, he should veto it. It's his job. There's a significant difference between being friendly and working together with rivals in the Senate and getting on your knees any time they want something.

Examiner policy when describing Senators is to use (Party-Region/District), hence Sen. meekermariner (PLP-ME).
NE; ME; MW; PAC; and SE are used for the various regions.
States aren't used because they are irrelevant (at least in this context).

It's a little unfortunate that ME can cause some confusion.

Ah, my mistake.

Notice: Lewis had taken the lead with 34 minutes to go.

Beat me to it. Late GOTV or just a coincidence?

Indeed, though both were all but guaranteed to have been elected in the April general election.

True, and I'm sure Colin will win a Senate seat in a week.

I certainly have gotten a tad behind on the procedural stuff, but a lot of it is hardly anyone voting.

Bump? Sad

I really enjoy this paper and would hate to see it fall out of circulation. I know there wasn't much going on for a week or so there but there's been quite a bit of activity in the past few days.

If you're just busy Jas then no problem at all, I just hoped you hadn't abandoned it.

If a candidate receives votes in a surplus redistribution, and then is eliminated in a later count by virtue of being a lowest vote getter, how are his votes distributed.

Where candidates are eliminated, all votes are transfered at the value they were received to the next highest preference listed on each vote.

So, hypothetically, if someone had 5.2 votes (5 from 1st preferences and 0.2 from a surplus redistribution), the 0.2 are split up further according to third preferences?

Well presuming both were valued at 0.1, both would be transfered on to the next highest preferences at 0.1
Eliminations do not reduce the value of votes.

Ah, gotcha.

Is there any law against deleting one's vote and then casting a new ballot? (Not trying to accuse Verily of illegal activity since he did it before the voting window opened. Just out of curiosity.)
